He dont freestyle and he dont write. You wanna get like him over night just do like he does steal lyrics from other artists.

i can't stand that arguement. the dude uses a line in his verses from time to time to introduce a thought or an emotion for the song or to remind ppl what inspires him. and ppl take it as bitin'. if you produce i hope you never used a sample in your life and created every sound sample you have in your tracks . other than that it's being hipocritical (oh by the way no offense) . (i'm obviously a huge fan of his and i hate that arguement) like that weak azz attempt camron made.

"them no worry we ey ey !! them no worry we ey ey.... jay-z - tru life

lol no i dont kno jay-z, but from videos, interviews with him, producers, engineers that are in the studio with him.

they say the producer will play them the track, and then jay sits there, thinks, raps in his head. goes in the booth, spits it out, maybe taking some things over that he wants to change and he's done.

I don't think its right to say that he never writes anything down. We really don't know if he does or not; however, its very well possible (and probably more likely) that he does freestyle the majority of his lyrics when he gets to the mic, meaning no paper in front of him while he raps. I'm sure he writes things down.

He freestyles everything, that would explain why his lyrics are weak.
and que 10 angry fanboys posting

My homeboy Thomas Magnum did this before Jay made it public. Some people can simply write into their memory and don't require paper. Not the same as a freestyle. They just save a million lines in their brain and spill them out in the right pattern at the right time.

Anyone who ever heard T.Magnum(he had a few fans), none of his material came from paper. It also gives the artist more room for emotion and articulation in their delivery, they already now exactly how to say it.

I think Wayne may also do this.

So If Jay-Z don't write and spits from his head, do ya'll think he does it all on one take. Because I can remember my friend told me that he records all on one take without any errors.

If you wanna work on your delivery it's simple... MEMORIZE your sh*t whether it's written or not. Write your rhymes and just rap 'em 'til you memorize 'em and you can add all the emotion you want.

He goes home (when he's between albums), writes about 1000 verses, memorizes them over time, and when he's in the studio listening to tracks he finds one he likes that matches the tempo, he recollects and spits.

That's my opinion, but I think it would help anyones career to create the mystique that Jay created around himself (gotta be tight though). Great marketing.
