i dont think you gotta keep your mouth shut, if you dont like somebody, say

"i dont like this persons music, it aint for me" but when youre a recovering crackhead trying to get your industry run on track, getting ready to go on tour you should be more focused on your shit to even give niggas all those soundbites

and this coming from a huge DMX fan, created timeless music that i love, but why? i know hip hop all about beef, and blah blah blah all that shit, but i thought hip hop was about grinding, hustling and getting to the money as well

dudes be too concerned about the wrong things, the whole making jokes shit, it was funny with ross, but dude respected you as an artist and reached out to you when other labels and companies were letting you rot in a cell. he just sounded like a dude on an internet forum, that shit aint real. i know he said he "appreciated" ross reaching out but come on

its like why i hate when people ask basketball players about what other basketball players are doing on the court.. like come on reporter.. im out here working on myself trying to get my game right and my team W's.. why would i be concerned with another baller?

DMX needs to shut up and get in the booth and start getting paid so he can handle his $1mil child support.

Used to like some of dudes music.

I agree with everything you just said. Dmx just talked shit about the 2 biggest labels right now mmg and young money. His career music wise isn't gonna go far, he should just stick to movies or performing his old songs. But as far as his new shit, I think it's gonna flop and I'm a big dmx fan also.

My thing is, as a businessman(f**K "real nikka" that don't put money in your pocket)...the only way in my book DMX's comments should be considered acceptable is if he's trying to sell off of controversy. He do got an album done. I'll respect that hustle cause it's a music selling ploy.

But for someone who wants to do music to disrespect artists who could make him hot again for no valid reason isn't close to "real" in my book.

It would be different if there were real personal problems to adress, but he in a business where money starts or finishes most valid beefs.

What I don't understand is why(no offense to no one, just being real) in this biz can the white dudes in the suits come thru and make you do things you never wanted to do and your cred don't get challenged, but it's still looked upon as "keepin it real" when we go against each other.

Even DMX did club and bych songs, cause the boss man told him to, so why he lookin down at the ones playing their role getting their money now...cause last I remember other than when he was told to do other shyt and sold out, all DMX ever rapped about was being grimey and god.

I know that's harsh. I should feel differently, but I was a hardcore fan of dude, he's knowledgable, but he's just such a big f**k up it's like learning superman was really just Christopher Reeves, lol.

Edited cause I don't feel like getting called racist.

He's going to be in for a shock when he finds out that people don't buy music any more...

One dude that kept an apartment full of neglected dogs and smoked crack there and has ten kids... lol, how are you going to diss anybody?

Here's some off beat music (a loop)... it's off beat on purpose because the acappella is so F'd up.

Rack City Rmx

... when I get a better acapella, I'll make a better remix.

DMX best bet was to sign to MMG.

Not only is MMG one of the hottest labels out right now, but with what's going on over there he would've had a good platform to put out music.

It would've been a win/win situation for both Ross and X.

Dude is delusional if he thinks he's going to move numbers.

if he doesnt respect ross how would it have been his best bet??? some people still do see him as a fake fat **** ex co as much as all you "he makes hot music" "its just entertainment" types wanna play it off

His best bet because maybe Ross and MMG are one of the hottest labels out right now?

Let's be dead honest here, DMX isn't going to move units. As much as i like DMX, unless a hot record label picks him up, X isn't going anywhere.

When was the last time DMX dropped an album? Better yet, when was the last time DMX dropped a good song? It's been years and that era of hiphop is GONE.

Not even DEF JAM wanted to deal with him and he was one of their best artist.

How do you know DMX's intent is only to move units? He just said in the vid he just writes songs all the time, he doesn't need a deal. Maybe he cares more about doing the music he loves and not the music that makes money. Cash isn't everything. Making MMG money with a nigga he doesn't like or respect could easily lead him back to hard drugs, if he ever really did quit. Or maybe due to his felony background he doesn't want to be working for an ex-CO. Who would spend so much of their life locked up getting disrespected by CO's and turn around and work for one?

And Def Jam stopped messin with him because of Jay. It's in the video. He had a album recorded and a video. Maybe that link is not showing the whole vid. The youtube one is not. The whole thing is on worldstar.

How hard is it to understand what i said? lol. Watch the interview, he clearly says "im going to sell more than that" when Charlemagne said a low number. Name me an artist that doesn't want to sell albums?

Jesus, forget Rick Ross and MMG... let's say YM since you guys keep bringing up the CO shit. I'm not talking about that. I'm referring to him making a "comeback". In order for him to make a comeback his best bet would be to sign to a HOT MAJOR RECORD LABEL that can push him out there.

If you're in jail, haven't put out music in 6+ years, haven't been in the public eye etc. What would be your best move when you come out, if you wanted to make a comeback and sell albums? No shit it would be to sign to a label that is storching.

If all he wants to do is make an album and put it out and not care about the money then noone is stopping him.

All im saying is that a hot label can give him bigger budget, better access, better marketing and an overall better platform.

It's not hard to understand what you're saying at all. A lot of people think that way. I was just saying not everybody puts money over everything. I watched the interview again right after my post to make sure it was on point, and he seemed more about doing what he likes over making money. Stopping filming to fly rc copters and shit. He said he doesn't want to fit in the current hip hop industry. Doesn't want a new audience. Yeah a hot label can give him those perks, but when that hot label has a dude on it that you don't even like the way he WALKS (lol), why would you sign a contract with them? Wayne, Drake, Nikki, and Tyga are the only ones making moves on that label. Where's Busta's album? He still not even on the site lol. Who is T-Streetz? Lil Chuckee can't make it past WorldStar, and gets hated on in the comments there. Being on YMCMB does not equal instant success. And I have a feeling he might choke Nikki's multiple personality ass out lol.

lol dont let these industry dudes fool you into thinking they have morals or even care about dudes past

like Deranged said, these guys will tap dance for any of these white dudes who snort cocaine off 15 year old girls at private parties and a whole bunch of other suspect shit. These artists have no integrity. He didnt take that MMG deal because in his mind he probably had another deal that he thought was better.. not because Ross was a CO

and if you wouldnt make money with somebody you dont like or think is fake, then youre not going to make a lot of money in this world

i do business with fake people and people i dont like every day.. and guess what? they pay better than the "real folks" and people that try to be my friend lol

If a man has 10 kids, money should be his number one priority to make sure the lives he created can have the best lives they can.

How are you going to be choosy in the current climate. Even though I don't listen to his music unless it's right in front of me, Ross is everywhere - making connections with everyone. Dre just gave him a $100,000 watch! He runs the city with Diddy. Khaled lives in his kitchen! He's on songs with people you thought would dis the hell out of him. Timbaland and Pharrell are in his new video... so DMX talking like that while he's NOT hot and Ross and Drake are, might keep a lot of people from rocking with him. I remember somebody saying it was about "relationships"... well maybe X needs a little training in that area, lol.

Everybody check out Maino's new video where he explains how TPOM has taken over and there's no reason to fight against fakeness anymore. He said that the days of calling people out for being fake are over and you'll put yourself on an island if you do it. He said that nobody cares about "keepin' it real" and that was an era and it's now the past. He said you can't make the best music if you keep focusing on that and people will see you as being negative and it'll keep some artists from rockin' with you. I'm from the school Maino is from but as much as I hate to admit it... he might be on to something.

DMX probably can "rap" better than 90% of the people out right now. Too bad negative interviews like that will get more publicity than records he puts out. I thought the interview was funny, I didn't think it was smart though.

DAMN, the MAINO vid appeared as I was typing, lol. Good ish.

Sad days... now kids won't even know what it means to be Hip Hop. They should just get rid of the word and stick to using the word "rap".
I'm eliminating the word HIP HOP from my vocabulary, it's outdated now.

Years ago, a man named biggrome spoke of an epidemic called TPOM (The Pussification Of Men)... people laughed at him... Now you can play dress up and make hot songs and you're an icon to all young Hip Hoppers. It worked for Lady Gaga in pop... so why not in rap music. Can't wait to see a rapper show up to an award show and have people carrying him overhead in some giant rolling papers.

"What is this..., Capone Khadafi Hussein Face is coming to the red carpet and he's wrapped in something that smells like blueberries... the end of it is on fire and he's dressed in all green... turn the cameras that way you have to get a shot of this..."
