Dj Khalil drums

I'm sure you'll all just whine it's not the exact same one, lol. No processing, just pitch and RV-7 reverb.

So I think i can safely say he's not doing but so much. Scream? possibly. Live Drums? Possibly. Something distinctive or "spaced out?' Absolutely not.

Again, dope producer one of my favorites, but people on here put emphasis on the wierdest things.

EDIT: OMG, just listened to 6 Khalil tracks back to back. You guys are impressed by his heavy reverb?

Pick up a Mobb Deep album from 1995 Reverb's been on snares since day 1.

So none of these kicks are the same range of sound as his? Of course not, it's gotta be magic to this sh*t, lol. Nobody's gonna admit it, because y'all gonna be anal bout the "exact same kick". Gated drums are in any factory set you got. Or maybe just "the majors" got em.

I heard about this "scream" software before...

Is it a FX vst just like that "glitch" thing or is it a exclusive plugin for a certain DAW?

Scream 4 is a very versatile stereo in/out sound destruction device, capable of warping any sound literally beyond recognition, but also capable of producing more subtle musical effects!!
Straight from reason 4 manual!!
IT S IN REASON 4!! useful tool!

^^^Let them have their dream. I sat in sessions with dude while he worked with Mitchy Slick, I know what goes down. But dudes hate simple answers. They gotta beleive these dudes do so much to have a "professional sound".

Actually think i'm a knowitall or somehow trying to be a dyck by giving truth. Go ahead and over process your sh*tty half azzed drums rather than finding a good distinctive one from jump.

not only Reason, SP1200s, Korg Tritons, Motifs, and a gang of others come with "khalil drums" stock, no fx added.

Let them have their dream along with toothfairies, leprechauns and butt munchkins, lol.

This is thread is funny as hell!

I'm sitting here and laughing...

And I got a new sig...

^^^In all honesty, without FP I never knew who self scientific was. I used to talk to Chase Infinite regularly and never knew him as more than an A&R/Connect to Strong Arm and Angeles Records until Jersey85 right here on this sight put me on to their music.

They make great music from what I've heard, I'll definetly check for it.

Lol good point everything will come to them

whoah deranged. i meant no disrespect to you by starting this thread ( true story, when i saw your last post on my email, i was like "dang i wonder what idiot started this thread?" then i went back and saw it was me.) i didn't think khalil put magic pixie dust in all his drums, i just figured he did something in the mix that gave them an added level of mood (hard to describe). i have since found out how to do so pretty decently but still not exact (im pretty sure he has better sound treating equipment).
that was all, i wasn't trying to start the drum equivelant of a "what synth does [enter hot artist here] use?" type thread.

^^^Nah, it wasn't you, just dudes start acting like i'm trying to tell them wrong when I give them simple answers. People tend to think musicians work "harder" because of their caliber of success. People won't beleive they have the same tools at their disposal as their favorite producer without little effort. Somebody always has to tell me how "wrong" I am because my answer is simple. They act like i'm somehow trying to deter them from making "good drums" when I'm giving the simple answer.

They wanna beleive these guys are "classically trained", or "pro engineers", or "play all these live instruments" when 90% of them are no better than the talent you see right here on this site beyond luck and business sense.
