While out of town, I hit up Independent Records in Colorado Springs. Highly recommended, all the used vinyl is 4$ and under and in great condition. Highlights from the 50 cent bin include BJ4, maybe 4 beatles albums, two jefferson starships, a stereo test record with drums on it, Earl Klugh- Lowrider, Deodato- 2001, Paul Horn- Inside (which I wasn't already up on for some reason, but the cover intrigued me), as well as some exclusive shit I couldn't find online off the label Redbud (the cover has a diamond on it) I'd post pictures but I don't have a camera.
 
Ashley's Roachclip = Classic. Almost makes me miss digging but I love the space I got from selling my records
 
How much did you pay for that Grover? I got a handful of his records but I paid 3$ each (including that one) I've been assuming that's the standard price

I was just thinking like yesterday that I should hold up on any more of his shit unless I find a better deal (I still need Winelight). I never really played out any of his albums before I started collecting vinyl.

I was reading the back of Mister Magic and it says that a "certain crusty jazz veteran noted for his musicianship and acid critiques wandered in and sat scowling at the bar, listening. When the set ended the scowl remained, but there was an announcement to no one, and everyone, in the gruffest of stage whispers: "Cat can play". But then it never explains who this is as if we're supposed to know. Does anyone know who this is?

that grover cost me a buck. listened to side 1 the other day and it was awesome. the only other grover solo i have is mister magic which i also got for a buck. he's pretty sick though!

selling in bulk. Most companies sell stuff in bulk to make their money. Think Itunes, Mcdonalds $1 menu, ect. Shit is bought at whole sell (in bulk) and sold for crazy cheap because they plan to sell a lot of it or in this case with records if someone sells you a large collection say 2,000 records and you only give them $200 for it (it happens I sold my collection of that size for $350 earlier this year) then hell yeah u will make your money back selling for 25 cents times 2,000 is about $500 you made $150 profit and I spent a lot more than $350 on those records but they were taking up too much space and had to go.

I can't even imagine that, that's like selling your children because they take up too much space.

Just picked up Pressure Sensitive, a Kenny Burrell, two more Grovers, two Ramsey Lewis records, Isley Brothers- Go For Your Guns, and another John Klemmer. Also spent 6$ on this album

I feel like that may be too much but my collection is seriously lacking psych rock (my iTunes has more psych than soul). I made the same exception for Third World's first LP.

132 (about two crates) handpicked records for 14 dollars.
Our record store released a whole wall of records for 10 cents each today. Unfortunately I already had many of the best records in there (John Klemmer- Touch, Bob James - two by two, George Benson- Breezin', Earl Klugh- Low rider) but I grabbed a good amount of jazz, classic rock, and classical. I got a few double LPs, as well as four box sets, including a 12 disc classical music set. The record I'm most stoked about it Chick Corea- Return to Forever, which I've been looking out for. Also finally got a copy of Jeff Beck's Wired.
