What Ramsey Lewis is that? Haven't seen that one, looks like its on Cadet?

I saw that Ramsey Lewis in the field today. I didn't pick it up because I only went to get a copy of Madonna's first album. I have been on a Madonna kick lately. I can't find my copy of Like A Virgin

It's called Inside Ramsey Lewis and yep, you're right it's on Cadet. It's a double LP best of. It's the first I'd seen of it too.

I think Mannas just grabbed the one Sandy Nelson album I dont have lol. I have the rest of the stuff he got. Ive had that Yes album for like 4 years and have never listened to it lol

Haha. Nice. Do you want it? I actually just bought it because I saw it and thought of all the ones you had gotten lately and thought it was worth a shot. You can have it if you want. I've also got a good copy of Like A Virgin if you'd like. I bought it a while back when I saw it for a dollar because it's in great shape. I have to be in a Madonna mood but it was definitely one I didn't mind having in the collection.

Thanks but no thanks. I have a thing about finding them in the field. Its part of why I stopped ebaying too well unless I really want something hard to find. I prefer doing it the old school difficult way. Besides I have Like A Virgin I just forgot where I put it.

No problem at all. Just trying to help. I definitely respect that though.

I just bought Welcome Home by Osibisa. Hot shit. Full of percussion breakes with bongos and stuff.

oh man....we had the dopest idea for this beat-tape project with my roomate who's a beatmaker aswell. we went diggin and decided to pick a random record, eyes closed....i would sample A side of it and my friend would sample B side of it.....every track.

we got a god damn "aerosmith - pump" SMH....... out of all the records...

well, we made the beats and now we're gonna rhyme on each others beats. just like madlib and dilla did on champion sound, lol.. the original track titles will tell us what we're gonna rap about.

we're calling the project "ain't that some shit - dump"

The Eddie Fisher was a LOOOONG time want of mine. The cover is beat to all hell, but surprisingly the records is damn near mint.

(not even the best song on the album ,just the only one on youtube. Will have it on my blog asap)

Also hit up a lead I found on Craigslist. He had nothing but rock, classic rock type shit, picked up a couple stacks..

@captnappy: what is the top right album next to the Buddy Miles, looks familiar.

@Gilson

Its David T Walker's "Walk On"....I was just rummaging through and finding stuff that i've never seen before or seen covers for

Oh, nice. I like him, never seen that album. What's it like? what year is it

Its 1971 I believe.

Its pretty good so far. About 6 tracks on it I believe. Theres 2 joints up there that have flip potential. My dad literally has a whole shelf of stuff i've never seen before and his brother (my uncle) has literally a basement full of vinyl.........His basement looks like Legends of the Hidden Temple with all the crates and dust lol

Nice! Looks like they have great taste in music too
Let me know if they ever want to sell off their collections :sing:

that David T Walker joint is dope I think there's more than just 2 songs on there that are dope. How do you upload pics on here cause you guys need to see what a 30 plus year collection looks like...and its growing all the time...Joints like that i cop for 50 cent each and in great quality..The most i will pay is 5 or 6 bucks but that all depends on what it is and where you look. I hope when you guys digg you don't get too excited and give the sellers the upper hand.never let them know what they have and always act like is not important..

the best was is to upload your pics to photobucket then use the embed link

the game has changed so much i remember when we use to buy records just for the breaks. Now with all the new technology it allows you to buy up anything and chop it bend it or twist it up.by god i'm still using 8tracks (hey a lot of joints were not released on albums)so albums that were once considered wack are useful because we don't just loop (unless its dope)anymore. As we all know its more about sounds and that's why you can use that Jim Nabors or Perry Como haha don't sleep on them..Sounds are where you find them so keep up the good digging work I like to see that folks are buying the actual records instead of just downloading( not that that's so bad) it's just that digging for beats is such a big part of Hip
Hop and will always be...
