I forget the name of the album but it has an orange cover with him smoking a cig on it. The MPK 25 is great for what I do for the most part. I wanted it because I wanted to emulate my EPS and Mpc combo with Reason and this controller does that fairly well. I used to chop my loops on the EPS and sample my drums, program my drums and sequence the rest of the track on the Mpc. Now I trigger my samples via the keys and do drums via the pads which is my preference anyway. Plus its easier for me to play basslines or add synth elements when I choose to add them to the beat (very seldom)

have people just stopped digging around here or just stopped sharing their digs? anyway I know I havent been digging much lately I got my hands on a MPK 25, Reason 5 and Record 1.5 and between those work and NBA 2k11 I have been fairly busy lately but I did some digging today. Here are my digs

I really haven't had much time or extra money to go lately. Plus I've got a ton already so I'm trying to justify spending more money. How's 2K11? I've been trying to decide whether it's worth it to buy. I love 2K10 but can't see dropping 60 bucks on the new one unless there's some sort of major improvement.

There are a lot of major improvements. The game play it self is a lot more realistic. The defense is harder to get through even on Rookie I am getting my ass kicked I used to dominate the game on the hall of fame difficulty in 2k8 and 10 (I skipped 9) I would say 2k 11 is an all around better game. It takes some getting used to though.

How are those Fatback band and Tower of Power records. I have been on both of them all weekend. Great for drums

Great albums, nice drums.
I was surprised how many of these records have breaks..my two favorites being

I love that Blue Magic album.
Yeah, it's nice. Won't probably end up in heavy rotation on my tables, but anyways it's good to have it. It has a few intros I could listen to over and over again though, maybe even worth a double for some playing around when I find one as cheap as this one.

From this morning's trip:

Nah, I'm in NC. I love your blog by the way.

I picked up a few copies of the Jungle Brothers - Brain 12" picture disc above if anybody would want it. Great song and I always love albums with the pictures. :)

Oh ok, was wondering bc I swear I seen all that shit you picked up at one of my spots the other day lol..

But Ya, that jungle brothers song is the jam!! That beat is the epidomy of beats I love and influence me lol

Thanks for checkin out the blog and I'm glad you enjoy it.

Haha. I wish I had more money on me at the time. I went 3 different places that morning. 2 Goodwills and a Nice Price Books. Goodwill had a ton of stuff. I think a dj had gotten rid of a collection because there were a bunch of 12"s and doubles. A lot were in rough shape though so I passed on them. Plus don't have a lot of use for them, just a bunch that I would love to have.

Yeah, Brain is a great beat. I could listen to it for hours. If you want one just PM me your info and I'll send you one. No charge. Your blog has opened my eyes and ears to artists I had not heard and can appreciate. I'd love to return the favor.

Whaaaat?! u aint gotta send me one for free. How bout this. I got doubles of the Gary Burton album Good Vibes (On my blog) How bout a trade?
