Difficulty securing burlap to fiberglass

I've been wanting to try this frameless acoustic panel method that involved zipties with washers through the fiberglass. That way you aren't hanging it from the burlap, which is unreliable, but you also don't need to build a frame.

Problem is, I have no idea how people even slightly secure burlap to fiberglass. This method just said use a glue gun, as you don't need that much security since it's hanging from the fiberglass.

I went out and got a glue gun, and it was absolutely horrible. It didn't do anything to secure the burlap. It was visibly off, even when just laying on the ground. Since I'm hanging from the fiberglass, I would use a staple gun, but the staple guns I find have a safety feature and require serious pressing against something solid in order to staple anything. Any ideas?

Sorry. You did answer that in your post.

What I would suggest is creating some kind of pouch out of the burlap. Kind of like a pillowcase that will secure the fiber glass inside since your going frameless.
