Hi guys, I record my raps on Cubase but I would like to know what is a workable latency? What range is workable without any delays/problems, and what latency range is not workable to rap on?

Currently I am on 37(ms), which I dunno if that's okay or not?

What buffer setting are you using?

Are you finding any lag issues in your recorded audio? if not then its not a problem :)

ALthough i have to say 37ms sounds high, i use 512 buffer setting with approx 12ms in and same out so even thats only 25ms in total.

Maybe try changing your buffer settings.

Hi Mark, thanks for your time to help me.

In Cubase I am getting 37(ms) latency, though I use ASIO4ALL with buffer 512 samples (I think). But other settings on ASIO4ALL I don't really know what they do and what is the best to set to. Maybe you can explain what the other settings do and what would be best recommended.

Thanks.

I dont use Asio4all so i wouldnt know but try setting your ASIO to 256 and see how that goes :)

Are you actually seeing a problem at the minute with your recorded vocals or not? If not then why change anything?

Mark
