In Cubase 5 or previous versions of Cubase, is it possible to record two midi notes on different channels at one time from a VST like Battery 3 or any other program?
ie. I have a usb drum machine with two sounds loaded in Battery 3. On one pad there is a kick, on another pad there is a snare. Am I able to route the kick as track one in cubase, and the snare as track two, so that when I play, both are recorded at the same time, but on different tracks as mentioned above?
.
.
If this is possible, then it will speed up my beatmaking process ten-fold.
