Crown XLS402?

I recently saw an ad for the Crown XLS402 amp for $199. Are these amps worth the money. I've done a search and can't find anything on this line. LOTS on the Crown, just none on the XLS series in particular.

Any info would be great.
 
The XLS is their budget line, as evidenced by the 200$ price tag. They are fairly good amps though, very solid. You might just get more than you pay for.

Whats the application?

I would also look at QSC's RMX line of amps, same price point.
 
The application would be for home use mostly and the occasional party. I'm tired of playing through my dookie home stereo and instead of upgrading the stereo, I thought I could have a complete stand alone that can be brought to parties. I was also considering a pair of 10" Yamaha's.
 
I think that amp would be pretty good for what you are talking about. I might get the 602 if I planned on doing a lot of house parties.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I assumed they would be ok considering the usage and Crown's reputation. The price drop just got me kinda excited. Apparently this years model is out and they want to get rid of the old ones.
