Dude thats a good question man. Im from H, so i know what ur talkin 'bout. DJ screw did not use computers to my understanding, just the tables. Now days, yes, they use whatever technology is available. Probably protools, so u might want to roll with the cubase, same damn thing, just a lot less expensive, and yes a little less professional. Some bad ass plugins, like Waves, and perhaps there are some plugins that are favs of Swisher house and what not. The first thing they do is time stretch it, ie, slow the damn song down, then u can cut, chop, and throw some wicked plugins, like waves enigma, or phaser, whatever u can afford man. I see screw music as a counterculture to the fast paced commercial enviorment we live in, here in the states. I might also add that, with screwed music is codeine, spelling ???? They kinda go hand in hand for a lot of people at least. So u might want to get some of that, if u want to be good. Im only kidding. good luck!

Ya I'm from tha D so ya I grew up wit it and I wanted to do it to my record

Im from Seattle but Id think u would just use 2 turntables with Pitch bend and slow that **** up. i dont know tho im not really feelin that screwed style. i respect that as houstons art it just aint for me.

THE CHOP SOUND CAN COME FROM THE SAME TRACK ON TWO TABLES WITH A SLIGHT DELAY OR JUST GET A MIXER WITH EFFECTS. SCREW USED FLANGE,DELAY AND LOOP EFFECTS. ALSO ADJUST THE PITCH AND BPM SET BELOW 80.

all you gotta do is timestretch it slower for the screwed part, and copy a selection and paste it right next to each other, screw did it with two tables pitched down and one playin slightly behind the other, he would play the pitched down regular one first then the parts he wanted to chop he would let it play and then crossfade to the other one and let that play and do that back and forth

example:
(1------------------)(2----------------)(1)
I DONT GIVE A DUCK,UCK CAUSE I BUCK,UCK
