I know that probably there has been a fourm like this before, but anyway I heard this song for the first time for the first time.
This makes Laffy Taffy, Goin Down and Lean with it,Rock with it look like gold
First of all the backround music is just drums and a really annoying siren sound.(LOL so much for producers just put a loud obnocious sound over drums)
Then the phrasing and talking of the singer isn't even in rythm or in any way pleasing to listen to.
Finally, the lyrics are even terrible based on industrial rap standard
(Chicken Noodle Soup with soda on the side, no one drinks soda with soup)
Anyway, I know by like the 15th time hearing it I'll some how be like, hey I sorta like this. The hook is catchy, but catchy doesn't mean good.

Alright so here's my question:
Can it get worse? Can you even make an effort to try to make a song worse than this and succeed?(succeed meaning actully make a song worse and/or make a song worse and sell records)

Yeah, this just proves even more that people will buy ANYTHING! I just went and heard this on youtube for the first time.... umm... wow!

Lyrics-
Let it rain.... clear it out (repeat)
Chicken Noodle Soup.... with a soda on the side (repeat)

I think that was it. I could be wrong, because I actually stopped halfway through. You gotta give me props for listening to it THAT long though! I know this is a "fun song" and it's not meant for lyrical content, but THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I would say this about a song in my lifetime, but I actually liked Laffy Taffy more than this song.

Peanut Butta and Jelly....

Just think of a hoodmeal and make a song out of it!!!!

Beef Ramen and Koolaid.... OH SHlT, a hit.

That's a hit right there, but you gotta to get the right clowns to do it and perform it.

I don't think they didn't try, I think they purposely made it absolutly retarded so they would stand out. Plus, its catchier that way. I thought it was:
Let it ring... and hang it up

Either way DJ Webstar should be cleaning the floor at McDonald's not making records.

naw son, it's honey bun & kool aid

send me a sample thru AIM & I'll hook up the beat, then you handle the rap

I agree with you Matrix, that's what it's boiling down to... just look at some household shyt, put it together in a beat, use simple drums and one standout sound, and WHAM!! BEAT! Hit!! It's sad... and I'm starting to sound like my parent's generation when they used to say "what you talkin' bout, that's good music" with some of the stuff we found weird as hell when growing up. I start to question where to take music and production now since everything's getting more simple... I'm a person who enjoys what I make more than just making the stupidest shyt for a quick buck.. it's an art to me, not just some quick get money scheme... maybe I'm one in the few with that thought, but I'm still gonna stick to my flava of beats, and my enjoyment of the 90's and early 2000's hiphop / rap music.

While the song is very lazy, the dance is good, as far as these new dances coming out is concerned. Look at that dance compared to the cats in the "Snap yo Fingaz" video. The dance looks like it actually required more coordination than just snapping your figgers, leaning to one side and whiping your shoulder to the other at the end while one foot is on tip toes. It looks like it requires a bit more skill than just trying to stand upright and make your shoulder go limp as if the dancer had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side.

Futhermore, honestly, would you actually want to hear the lyrics that could possibly go to that hook?

it's really not THAT dumb...if you look back to the 90's and 80's there have been many other dance hip hop jump offs...it's really nothing innovative it's just that it has the southern sound format as opposed to the old school bop format.

This is true, definitly true...so perhaps maybe hip hop is going through its equivalent of the 80's phase of pop/rock. The timeline matches up perfectly. If that's the case then perhaps there is hope, for a rebirth of the whole thing in new fresh formats. Or much like after the 80's a resurgance of the underground to the mainstream.
