Check out my first beat. (Appriciate all the feedback)

Hey whats good peoples! Im really new at this (only been at it for a couple of days) and really dont know anything about mixing, or anything. Eager to learn everything so i can make the beats thats bumping in my head... I´m trying to learn something new everyday and try everything out as it comes.


But anyways here goes the first beat i ever made, just played around a lil with the keyboard and this is what i came up with, listened to it and thought it needed a lil "Aow" in it ... so i got a lil quick "cameo" sample in there...


Would appriciate any type of feedback given to me. Just be honest and dont sugar coat it. I really need to learn how to do it right you dig... Keep it 100.

Way too empty. Add a slow synth in the background. The snare was filtered too low, it needs more high end. Add a bass drum or toms or something in there. For your first beat i wouldn't say it's that bad but it definitely needs more adding to it. The bass line wasn't up to scratch imo, you need to work on writing melodies, keep experimenting.

Yeah i hear what you´re saying i really gotta learn how to play the piano/keyboard better, might even get some lessons and whatnot. I´ll keep trying new stuff out though until i get it right... Gotta get more sounds too... But i appriciate the feedback homie! Each one teach one...
