CAN A CASIO CTK-700 KEYBOARD BE USED AS A MIDI CONTROLLER? ALL I REALLY WANT TO DO IS PLAY PIANO PARTS WITH IT INTO FL STUDIO. HELP PLEASE!

yes it can you have to connect the midi out port on the keyboard to the midi in port of your computer interface.

alright heres my problem. i bought tha casio and then i bought a midi in and out USB adapter. i hooked up both the in and the out connectors to the casio keyboard and the USB to the computer of coourse. and from then on im lost. I cant figure out how to make it work in FL studio producer edition. any suggestions???

Is it supposed to come with the midi in and out USB adapter or do you buy that seperate? I got the keyboard for Christmas but I can't open it yet. The box doesn't say anything about USB so I just asking. Would appreciate replies. Thanks.

Well that answers his question but not mine. You must have thought we were the same person. My question was "is it supposed to come with the midi in and out USB adapter or do you buy that seperate?"

you have to buy it separately.

I don't mess around with midi usb adapter,it work for you right now just fine, but I would pick up a audio/midi interface I use the Tascam US-428 look up this product for a picture.

If you alredy have an audio interface don't waste your cash. These interfaces essencially have usb midi built in.

So I DO get it seperate. Thank you much for the replies. Now I won't have to wait like a week after I open it to use it.
