Yeah i'd say they have a very warm sound to them. The bass is strong and the mids sound like they are dipped a tiny bit to make them smoother?
Sort of like they've done a smiley face eq job on them.
I find they have a 'pleasing' sound, so if you are looking for a very clean and clear sound maybe they're not the ones for you?
Dunno. I like them (well my flatmate has some and i use the cheap and cheerful m35x's).
Peace

there are pretty different opinions about the sound quality of the whitelabels around; just curious

some like them very much, some don´t like them at all

Fuzzy, what do you spin? house or trance - I have the feeling that the trancers don´t like the whitelabels too much

back to topic: if you have a pdx, I would eitherway vote for headshell carts, shure m44/7; and if you like ortofon there is a new headshell ortofon GT, which is similar to the m44/7

Well the thing that did it for me was the fact there was a stronger presence in treble range for the Ortofons. And as we all know, more treble = more energy (generally) so I just went with that and kept the Orts. But yea, it's all a matter of preference... some may find that the treble may be too harsh on the Ortofons compared to the Whitelabels, for instance.
