Can someone give me some examples of Hip hop songs that are in a Major key???

how do ya know if a beat is in major/minor key?


does it sounds sad or happy? lol
and if a song is in major key, what does that mean? is the root not the C note or how does this works?
i dont know, but i really would like to know. please help me out

For the most part a major key will song upbeat/happy and a minor key tend to sound dark/sad. But mixing up the chords can take a lil bit of the darkness from a minor key or the happiness from a major key.

And a major scale is basically a pattern of whole and half steps (W-W-H-W-W-W-H). And the key is the note this pattern starts on. Hence C Major starts on C and follows this step pattern.
