who gives a fu*k? every rapper uses well know rhymes in their songs...some(including me) see it as payin homage and bigin' up those who came before..jay never once pretended to have written those lines himself...anyone who knows hiphop instantly recognizes the lines...and as far as jay...it seems like so much cause the nigga has a huge ass catologue...yall act like he spits a whole verse from someone else...he only uses a line or two. even if you can find 10 minutes of other rappers lines...that still leaves about 9 hours of other sh*t. how many rappers have used a rakim line? a whole fuc*in lot right?...are they bitin?no paying homage?yes...all the people jay has quoted are legends...big, snoop, rakim, nas, slick rick...he aint sayin any lines from mc get busy down the block. cam does it, jay does it, everyone else does it.

I agree. I have no problem with Jay-Z quoting lines, or Cam'Ron for that matter. But according to the Dipstans, its wrong for Jay-Z to do it, but its fine for Cam'Ron to do it. He has 8-9 albums. Yet only two minutes out of those albums, is quoted/bitten/paying homage. How is that "too much" when he has hours and hours of music? He doesn't try to pass these lines off as his own. He's quoting Biggie, Snoop, Slick Rick, etc. It's not like he's stealing lines from some underground rappers that no one has heard of. And because Camron too has "payed homage", his argument holds no weight. Plus pretty much everything in his diss was said by Nas 4-5 years ago anyway. These are the points I'm making.
