Well...these can be iffy, cause you got the "Call Me" running thru the whole joint. It really depends on the performance of the emcee song wise.
The sample is well known, I'm kinda bias towards those. You did good job matching drums tho. In the future I would suggest diggin a lil deeper. Overall its a decent beat.
This is the latest I got going on right here. Drop me a line or two. Thanks.
Edit* Might want to try filtering the sample when the verses drop.
nice. looks like you've got the verse part of the song done. i like the part where the strings come in man. its dope. has a real soulful vibe in this track. lookin forward to hear the finished product man when its structured and mixed
Its a cool idea initially but it gets hella annoying about half way through. Try switching off with some other cut out of the song- theres all sorts, that's a great song. That clap is really dope though i love that whole drum section you got going there. Get some variation in this and it'll sound dope tho.
first of all good sample. beat is good, but it gets too repetitive, and it kinda kills the vibe. try to change sample a bit, or put some filter just to change that sound, keep it more interesting. waiting for the whole track.
sample was ok but got a little repetitive repeating exactly the same bit. interesting vibe to this, kind of reminds me of greece for some reason. Yeah i think just the repetitiveness needs to change when you make this into a full song form. good work.
I like the mix, everything is clear. The recurring 'Call Me' is addictive. This is easy listening stuff right here. Personally I'm not that of a fan of the gospel type of drumming, because I think the beat loses it's focus and impact force. However, that is just personal taste. Very solid production, I like that you also play with the sample in other ways. I would make the snare stand out more though. Overall good work, keep it up and top this one next time. I will be looking forward to it.
Drums are really interesting, I dont wanna add anything anyone has already said, but probably filtering when the verse starts could help. I actually really like the transition from intro to hook. Mix and master is really good too.
