Blac Monks

This is old school, I know, but I want to know if anybody besides me ever had, or even heard of the 'Blac Monks'...? (RapALot)

Only 2 albums 'Blac Monks: Secrets of the Hidden Temple', and 'Black Monks: No Mercy' (which was nothing compared to the first, can you say, "softened up"?

Anyway, I ask because NOBODY, except for 1 other person I have come across has ever heard of them. They are one of my all time favs, and should be heard. Its too bad they never went anywhere...errr, maybe not.

I got the first album (Secrets of the Hidden Temple).
It bangs.

3-2 had a solo album out a few years back but it sucked.

I agree, they should have done better.
 
yeah, I have 3-2's solo album. I think there was like 1 track that was good on it, the rest was wak.

i know them fools. just left 3-2 at the car wash. little j done killed his career. or was it the purple stuff.:confused:
 
I don't know man, but these guys were seriously on to somethin...I don't know how they didn't go anwhere (marketing maybe???) But, they were mad, they were tight, and give me Monks 3!!!!
 
early nineties rap a lot

blac monks, menace clan, 2 low, too much trouble, the convicts, 5th ward juveniles, odd squadk, the terrorists....I used to listen to all of that ****. Actually saw Murdock from the terrorists not too long ago, at KPFT....I'm trying to remember ol dudes name from the blac monks...starts with an E...anyways, he was doing drum and bass stuff, and hip hop stuff...even was shopping tracks to porn movies...He's a good dude...last time I saw him out was about 2 years ago...

3-2 used to always **** with me...always callin' me "jimmy olson" when he saw me....I'd be like, "dude, I'm not jimmy olson"...that **** used to crack me up...
 
The Convicts were dope. I love that song I think its called 'Wash your A$$'. That sh!t was funny.

So you know 3-2 hunh? He is dope. Probably my fav off the Black Monks. Is he still around HTown? Whats he up to?
 
he was on big moe's purple world album. i just found a promotioal copy of the black monks in my closet. the one with the fat guy on the cover with the nose ring.

i dont know 3-2 at all...that's what was so damn funny....I used to see that fool at the Limelight, Underground, Main Event....every damn time "what's up jimmy olson"?...."dude, I'm not jimmy olson"...last time I saw that dude was at Studio ..****...I cant remember the name...it was a club after northwest mall closed....that was in 99....I wanna say the dude from Blac Monks was Eucrates

I thought it was Da, 3-2, and Awol...Eucrates, doesn't ring a bell by me, I could be wrong though.:confused:

no way close 3-2 has use that every since he's been in the game. when he was with the convicts. i use to hang out a the compound off 290. and that's the only name i can remember.
but the black monk group was 3-2, awol and d.a. and the convicts were 3-2 and big mike. speaking of big mike where did dude dissapear too. a gold artist vanished and a ex- geto boy.

I was talking about one of the other 2 guys. not 3 2.

He calls himself eucraine now...Probably, because rap-a-lot owns the likenesses, and names of their artists most of the time.

man, a few years ago, i heard big mike was found running around but naked in the street sweating, high on pcp

shht must a been true bacause thats the only reason a talented lyricist like that would not be dropping albums or be heard from

but i heard he was recording a song last year with point black, so he probably has gotten help and could be back on the scene

about 3-2, rap-a-lot don't own the name 3-2 because he was using that "Lord 3-2" name after he left r-a-l
 
Big Mike was tite. Hoez, and thangs...was one of my fav, back in the day....way back.

His last album was tite too, but he need to get hold of his quick PCP fix if thats the case.
