not necessarily the way Mary sings or the type of music, but the way Mary was like the voice for the hood, Beyonce seems like she's trying to be the voice of the teen girls in the hood, in the age of the South Domination, from Soldier to B'Day to Diva

but who produced Halo??? i just heard it a couple days ago and that track is fukin inSAnE!!!! i kno Ryan tedder wrote it..but did he also produce it???
 
I heard this song, and I thought about this article. I think the song was better suited for Leona's voice, who's tone is way more gruff than Beyonce's super clean voice.


But Beyonce made it a hit, so all that talk goes out the window.



Oh, and folks, that's business. Beyonce ain't steal nothing. Dude wrote the song, and didn't want to wait on Leona's project, so he shopped it, and Beyonce picked it up.
