WHO IS THE BEST PRODUCER TO EVER REP THE WESTCOAST?

DJ QUIK
DR.DRE
FRED WRECK
DAZ DILLINGER
SOOPAFLY
BATTLECAT
ANT BANKS
JOHNNY J
DJ POOH
SIR JINX

Rick Rock is the new west coast cat. He's the Just Blaze of the west coast. Dre/s probably the best although some would say D.J. Quik. Quik is talented but his music is more R&B. Honorable mention goes to battlecat. It seems like to me some of Just Blaze's west coast tracks seems to be influenced by Battlecat.

I'd like to say...................DRE. The man's responsible for the sound of an entire coast.

rick rock been around since 95 he did some tracks on all eyez on me. dre is the best west coast producer.

Rhetorical question?... I think the answer to this one is already known.. so I won't even say it. Use my sig as reference if your brain isn't kickin. But after that I gotta go with Johnny J and Quik. Daz is aiight.. and I've always been a fan of Rick Rock.

EA-Ski is nice on the boards but his lack of people skills hurts him. You have to be able to newtwork in this industry. I seen him a few times and the boy swears he's bulletproof. JT the bigga figga has produced some nice tracks but he's also produced a lot of joints that only locals in San Francisco feel.

My fault, I forgot all about EA-SKI. Thats my bad. But when it comes to JT BIGGA FIGGA, I feel that his juice comes mostly from rapping over tracks that was produced by Daz Dillinger. Remember I could only 10 options for the poll, but ea-ski should've definenlty on there.

Rick Rock is the best West Coast Producer! I cant believe you didnt put him on the poll....thats straight disrespectin the man....

truth spoken.

Butta, what about Kahyree??? He aint there either, did all the classic young lay, mac mall and mac dre stuff, California Livin , My Opinion, etc...

Also forgot mr.V (IMP, Dre Dog) and some others, ah, too many. And JT was doin stuff way before that Daz collabo. Peace.

Dre is probably the most influential up there though, hes like the granddaddy.

Yeah, Rick's the man. Dre knows what those suburban kidz like. That's what makes him the man now because that translates into dollars. I read an article where an artist said Dre told him he stopped prodcuing with his heart after the Chronic2 album. He now produces with his mind-meaning what will sell.Dre's still the godfather of West Coast Rap. He may not be the best but he's still untouchable. That's like comparing Marley Marl to Just Blaze. Dre has passed the torch to these young cats. Anyone who does not respect the Godfather should catch a Suge Knight(beatdown followed by drinking some piss) He has made too many contributions to the game to be criticized by some internet producers. You cannot diss the forefathers b4 you. Youu never saw Michael Jackson criticizing Ray charles or stevie wonder.

There has been a lot of producers from the West with skillz. Of course Dre is the king because of everything he has done.

His beats are still doing it after like 25 years in the game.

I always love Quik and Daz production.

Johnny J made some hard beats in his career. Where is he??

Ant Banks was crazy too back in the day.

BattleCat is dope but there is something about him that keeps him from being one of the elite.

I've been hearing a lot about LT Hutton lately. What do yall think of him?? He produced some bangers on the new Roscoe album.

What about Bosko too. He made tracks for Tupac, E40, DMX and Bubba Sparks recentely. Don't forget about him.

I am not sure where Alchemist is from. I know Muggs from Cypress Hill put him on. He meet Mobb Deep, they loved his tracks and the rest is history. His production style is definitely East Coast.
