Best way to burn CD's for mixing?

I want to burn music from my computer to CD-r's to mix with my two Numark Axis 4's. But what is the best way to keep the most quality? What kind of format holds the best quality (I bet it's not mp3), and what specifications should my CD-r's have for highest sound quality?

In need of info,
McKenzie

thanks!

It really mater what the original source file is. It pointless to go from a shit quality mp3 to wave file on cd.

as ry thomas said above slower speed, also cd architect can burn split track cd's with NO PAUSE AT ALLS. what you'd have to do is make your entire nonstop mix/compilation then save it as one track then split it in cdarchitect and burn right from that program.
