Behringer Mixer 502/ Mic Help!

I got my Samson C01 Microphone and Behringer 502 Mixer in the mail today and I've been trying to make it work all day to no avail. I have a XLR cable running from the mic to the mixer's MIC input and the mixer is plugged into the wall through an AC adapter. The mic has a blue LED light on to signal that phantom power is present. The problem is that the mic isn't make any sound when I speak into it. Can someone please help?

Where are the mixer's outputs hooked up to? Describe the whole setup in detail.
