Beats Audio Laptop for Producing Music?

Hi people, I need a laptop for my marketing class so I thought I might just get something that I can produce heavy music on as well. I'm personally not a fan of Beats, but the design of the HP Envy has me sold. The laptop is black and red, these are my two favourite colours and colour is a BIG deal to me. My music is extremely dark, and I can't make cheery songs unless I'm sampling, but even then I feel isolated from my true sounds. Black symbolizes darkness and red symbolizes rage, two of the main pieces that make my music whole. I'm far from an emo though lol :P

Now, I wanted to know, would this beats audio sound card that (comes standard with all beats audio laptops) interfere with an exported song's final quality? Would the bass be boosted within the file itself? Is there anybody here who's tried to produce using a laptop that contains beats audio? Any information is appreciated :)

Long answer: Your audio's tone is determined by the numbers your CPU crunches. Beats Audio cannot interfere with CPU instructions, and therefore makes no difference in the 1s and 0s from which your source sound is comprised.

Short answer: No.

As far as I understand, Beats Audio is a soundcard driver feature (rather than an invasive system hook), and therefore shouldn't make a different in your playback either as long as you're using a separate sound card.

Macbook or Lenovo. Hits have been made with everything from Macs to Dells to HPs, but Macs and Lenovos have always withstood the test of time.

But honestly... Now a days, just buy something with a good rating and focus on making music. Whatever you buy will be light years ahead of what people used 15 years ago to make hits.

Another question came up though. Since beats audio boosts up lows, wouldn't that affect the mixdown in terms of me hearing more bass in the song than there actually is? Also, if I were to get studio monitors I'd hear a different sound than other people would. Is there a way to disable that bass boost feature with the laptop? I'm going to get a laptop tomorrow so I need a quick response. :P

If you were to get studio monitors, I'd hope that you'd upgrade your sound card first. Integrated audio sounds horrible and has no native ASIO drivers. Adding studio monitors to an integrated soundcard is a moot point.

Once you've added a USB audio interface to the mix, Beats Audio will be irrelevant. It won't affect the audio coming out of your interface.

Thanks brother! Got the hp DM4 Beats Edition instead and decided to get an external audio card.
 
Dude just buy a Macbook pro I5 to I7. I have a 13 inch I5 and i run window 7 and mac, Fruit loop 11 & Pro tools work fantastic never had a problem. Just buy a SSD hardrive and Ram and it wont give up on you. Now, go make some money. Macbook pro cost me 600 on craiglist with broken keyboard I order it on ebay for 20$ and walah!
 
I heard that the Beats laptops/phones and any other device was a complete scam. The only thing the Beats audio option does is that you basically have and EQ on that device. you can either turn it on or off, but here's the catch. When you turn it on, it exagerates the low frequencies and the highs. However, when you trun it off, it does the exact opposite. it dampens the highs and lows to leave you with exagerated mids only. (it doesn't only leave you lows, mids and highs flat, it really just makes the highs and lows suck so that the sound sucks aswell) That's why when the 'super Beats audio system' is off, the sound sounds like crap and that when it's on, it sounds better than it did before.
Not that I do not own a Beats audio device and that this information was only found on the internet while doing my research before actually purchasing a device with this Beats audio option.
So if I were you, since you love the colour and all, try to get it without the Beats audio option. If you can't, make sure you listen to the sound provided by the Beats' EQ system and that you like it. If you then like the sound and everything, go for it! :)
 
Beats audio is way overpriced for the quality. If I were you I'd get a cheaper usb soundcard and a deal on a different computer
