The decision goes like this

It was no competition to me,

I think NFX wins hands down. Even though his track is near the border of what can be considered hip hop, it is a more solid track and it sounds musically pleasing. I didnt think Motions track was musically pleasing.

At first I was annoyed by the fact that u have to download NFX's track, cause I got this 56K connection, but it actually gives you the advantage because you recorded it in a very high quality bit rate and for me I had to listen to Motions track in lo fi while yours was real clear. Nice way to put an edge on it. But anyway, I liked your track better regardless of the sound quality.

My vote- NFX

NFX- definattley very synth, but is was produced great. It was bordering the end of the hip-hop line. i thouhgt it had a Linkin Park type sound, so that was cool.

Motion- The organs were a little off, and I didn't really like their pattern.
 
NFX gets my vote. I just wasn't vibin to Motion's beat at all!
 
Although is was a bit clubby...

The boundaries of hip hop are being pushed everyday, so whether or not NFX’s beat sounds like hip hop or not is irrelevant. It was clearly the better of the two productions, musically. Motion’s track needed a little work. Some of the sounds seemed to clash with others, making the whole thing sound a bit off. NFX’s track was both clean and musical. And good music is good music; it doesn’t matter which era it’s from.
So, I had to go with NFX on this one.
 
NFX - very high level of production.... not exactly hip hop but i liked it... that static voice was great..

motion - just wasn't feeling it.... seemed like the timing was off with the strings and that high picked noise with the strings just bothered me...

Although I disliked EACH track...NFX's was better overall.
Motions was too repetative and not enough BOUNCE for my liking...
Sounds like it should be played quietly in a apartment elevator...not bumped in a car system..
NFX...good production..i agree with some people..to "synthy"...also i swear I heard the same thing on those free American Eagle clothing store CD's...but i guess its just not my cup of tea...but it was still good.

So once again..Vote : NFX
