BBF Fight Nights.....Rules in first post

I'm submitting 2...count em...2 beats. One for bodying Prop and the other to whoop your a$$!


Thats right ladies and gents, this is going down in history as a BBF first..... One battler, supplying two brand new beats to demolish two seperate bytches.....in the same battle. and the 7 day vacation is in effect...so you and Prop can mail me my postcard at:

Ummm..I know some of you complained about having to listen to 10 tracks, but uhh.....



Isn't that part of a producer's job? You know...to actually listen to music? I mean I'm not expecting to hear some second coming of Dre shyt during these battles, but I REALLY don't mind listening to any beat posted. Nyggas put the time into making some battle music. I say salute the flag and respect the war. We are fighting for a purpose here....

You people can't listen to 2 beats a day and pick which ones y'all like? If 2 beats are presented each day, (Monday thru Friday), take saturday to tally the votes, Sunday to announce the winners and the next matchup, and Monday to start it over again, then it'll flow smoothly.

That way, the whole team participates, we get to hear beats from MORE than just the strongest members, and we get results based on who is the best TEAM...not who has the strongest member.


I've already laid out how the battle should go, ensuring everyone gets the chance to participate, and we CONSTANTLY have new music to look forward to every day. It also ensures that things are fair, and not biased towards one team. So lets just do the damn thing.

But why am i still talking? No one ever listens to me. No matter how many times i'm right.

If I got to make up the deadline because I had some beats ready, I could do the same shyt.

Dude had some new beats - DEADLINE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I'll use old beats and blow that ELECTRIC CIRCUS shyt away.

I'm workin' on one but if it's not ready. I'll just blow that shyt away with whatever I have lying around.

NAS and BEANS want their nuts back.

And please don't cause an energy crisis with 2 or your beats posted at the same time....

Side question: Who's up next after Friday's shyts? We drawin' e-straws?

Well firstly

we can make a rule against same battlers each week..unless all 5 decide to battle.

secondly i cant speek for everyone else but i got 3 weeks before my holidays start....i got
7 tests to do
8 assignments
3 finals
3 skillz tests

i dont gotz time to listen to 10 beats, other wise i would.

not only that but i know most people dont listen to a whole beat when 2 people are battling let alone 10 people battlin.

just make a rule against the same team members battlin everyweek, easy fix

I'm just sayin'. I like shyt to be agreed upon, not somebody just throwin' out shyt and it's law. Who made up that deadline? Who made up the number of members? Who's still adding rules?

We had 2 members when the deadline and mandated number of members was posted. We had to scramble to get members and make beats. When somebody else already had beats and had already snatched up half the forum.

Then they want to add more rules today!

I don't give a shyt, I'll be there.

See..that's the beauty of my idea... If 2 people battle per day, you can vote in whatever you like.

So vote on Mon, Wed's and Fri's battle. If you're busy on Tues and Thurs battle, then don't vote on those days.

That way, you don't HAVE to listen to 10 beats. Just vote for the individual battles you want. The team with the highest TOTAL SCORE for the week wins that round, and goes up against the next team.

Simple.


If you can't make one track per week, then you need to go back to working your fast food job.


KONTAK, with your permission, I'd like to take over this battle organization thing, and get things actually moving, instead of everybody b!tching about what they can and can't do.

I'm a bit confused by this. Now are you suggesting that people don't have to vote in every battle? Isn't the point of making voting mandatory so that we have sufficient votes to determine a winner?

Also, if we have to vote on 10 different beats, then the 1:30 rule should be in effect. I wouldn't mind listening to 10 short beats, but not whole 4-5 minute songs.

And are we starting tomorrow already? Can someone make a new thread with just the required info? I know the rules have been stated, but they've kind of been altered a little bit, and all this sh*t-talking makes it difficult to get to the bottom of this...

Again...as soon as Kontak gives me the word, i'm taking over the battle, making a thread stating the official rules and starting this thing up.

If people don't like it, then they can take thier weak asses on somewhere. No battle is gonna be perfect, with rules that everybody LIKES.


Damn...this happens in EVERY SINGLE beat battle.

Fukk it we should all be able to contribute rules.


Those are the ones I'd like to see put into effect.

only reason i don't agree with that one, is that this is as much a battle of MUSIC creation as it is TRACK creation. Someone could have a bomb ass melody, but mess up the structure of the track, thus making thier track worthless.

There won't be a rule that says you HAVE to listen to the whole track, cuz you know if you like it or not generally within the first 15-20 seconds.

But as i'm sure you will agree, the appeal of a song has alot to do with the structure of it as well. No i'm not talking 50 thousand change ups or nothing like that. Things like if you don't have the right intro, and seguay(sp?) into and out of your hooks, then your song loses emotion, and thus basically messes up the song.

So i'd prob say 1:30 MINIMUM, with no max. Just know that the long ass song probably ain't gon get listened to. But then again, that's the producers problem.

I don't mind you co-managing the battle. I like your ideas, and you're absolutely right-It is impossible to create a battle situation in which everyone is pleased. You have my permission, but Kontak has the final word, as this is his idea and not mine.
