Whoa now, whoa now...

Got some issues there Osama?

You seem to have a lot of pent-up aggression towards songs that aren't a constant loop for 5 and a half minutes. I didn't say it had to be a faggity complex beat, just something to give my ears a break from the same loop playing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again...

Play nice, now. Or wait, you're one of those people that need inspiration to make beats, aren't you? You gotta be angry to make them fire-ass tracks...

And BTW, I know a couple bytches that like to tango...:p

Well if the beat lasts for 1:30 seconds I suppose that at least SOMETHING should change during the chorus...plus there's an intro too ya know?

I just know how cats get on FP. Look at just about any radio track out there right now and then tell me if u hear 50000 changeups in the first 45 seconds?

On FP that kinda shyt is mandatory.

And hell yeah I need the inspiration. It's hot outside...I'm horny...and I'm pissed about knowing how FUKKED UP the traffic is gonna be on the NY turnpike when I'm heading back to PA this afternoon.

So yeah fukk those slow ass drivers and these complex ass nyggas. I just wanna punch them in the face with a fistfull of exacto blades and jerk seasoning.

my mistake wit hthe maths

5 teams x 5 team members = 25 / 4

Which is roughly
6 weeks

AHAHAHAHA!

jerk seasoning...

Nice.

But you act like people don't drive like they have the attention span of a pre-mature crack baby everywhere else, too. Especially Seattle... :(

Osama remember when we wrecked that **** as Team Paid In Full ahhhh memories

show your skills please. girls are on the floor for the beat on "whisper". if that defines the radio then i cant fit in. bring some hot stufff that you like to make. show your skills. be it a score like a one80 or a dance track like a poppa-t aka (my young padawan) do your best and if your best aint good enough dont use the radio standards for refuge. oh.. and i'm tired of mista ox with his aimlessly wandering melodies making comments. i am the chameleon of this music thing. i can go anywhere and blend in. ou better PRAY that we dont meet up on the battle field. it wont be epic.. just messy.

That was some pretty nice shyt.....I'm fully in tune for this battle. I really just want to skeet on a someone's beet.

Fukk the radio. It's geared for 13 yr old white bitchez. But you want to make money , it has to be commercial ready. Fine line the $ or the art. Not many can do it. How do you make something that can be played on the radio and have the underground support it.

The Always Quotable,
d.Wells

Y'all haven't driven in Dallas lately have you...

I have literally watched people just drive the **** right into somebody else. Just drove right into a car that was sitting at a stoplight, never even hit the brakes, just POW, right into 'em. And the other day I saw a car wrecked on the access road to the freeway on the opposite side of the freeway from another accident. WTF? Of course the best thing here is, everybody stops at the end of the entrance ramp of the freeway. They just stop and wait for an opening... backing up traffic for a half a mile in the process.

Sorry, just venting... I leave for home in just over an hour, not looking forward to it. I live 16 miles from work, takes me an hour to get home, wtf is that shyt...

So what you're basically saying is that this battle will be like every other battle in that...

1. Nyggas can still bring up that stupid ass 1000 changeups comment.

2. People can still vote on the basis that u threw some weird spacey blip in your beat and they'll be so amazed that they just have to vote for your shyt no matter how WACK IT IS....

and 3....and my personal favorite...

The Norah Jones Factor. Meaning if it doesn't sound as straightforward as hip hop and not as irritating as techno...then it must be better just because it's....different?

No smart ass comments needed. Just stating the facts buddy. Those are the facts by the way...oh yes they are Old Chap.

So sorry...I mean...really I do apologize. I'm just wondering if this is a composer's battle vs. a beat battle? I'd just like to set the record straight so that I can point my HOMO ASS COMMENT DETECTOR in the right direction.

The beauty of this battle is that PEOPLE CAN VOTE FOR WHAT THEY LIKE...Just like on the radio, just like on the streets. People like different things for different reasons, and thus put thier money behind it.

So in this battle, regardless of wheter it's the composition, the banging drums, or that wierd spacey blip, people get to vote for WHAT THEY LIKE.

As long as more people like what you have to offer, vs what the other person has to offer, then it's all good...Just like in real life.

So hey...whether techno, hard core hip hop, or NORAH JONES, may the best track win.

(and i'd appreciate you leaving wifey-boo out of this...thanx. :))

To set the record straight! There will be 5 man teams. Who ever came up with the Team SC page idea, I like it. Each team leader(if you dont have one, then pick someone) will set up the SC page and give the username and password to each member of the team. Each member will load up their beat to that page for that week. So when team A is battling team B, the listener will open up SC page 1 and SC page 2(both consisting of 5 beats each). Each Friday Night Fight will be Team versus team, but one on one battles. Whoever came up with everyone getting a number assigned to them and randomly matching that number with the opposing team, I like it. At the end of each battle, votes will be tallied, and the team with the most wins from each individual battle will be victorious, and the loser will get the stepping for 7 days.

If we go with picking one team member to represent the whole team each week, then that would be a five week cycle before everyone on the team gets to battle. TOO LONG! By having each member participate EACH week, you are guaranteeing that you will have full participation from your team, and not worrying about some not pulling their weight, offering input, etc.

Like I said, just like the KOTH, the winning team will hold the thrown going into the next week and will remain until they get knocked off.(you have the option of using the same beat, but you dont have to each week. Different battles require different beats)

And before some brainiac mentions this and scares half of the forum away........make sure you copyright your beats BEFORE you upload them(Library of Congress, Poorman's, something) Having your beats on a team page is no different then having your beats on your own page, they can be "gotten" either way, most of yall know what I mean. So, either way make sure you protect your asses and copyright your beat before you upload.

Whether or not every member of a team participated should be irrelevant. Whether or not a team member is pulling there weight should be left up to the team's internal discussions and strategic structure. The focus should not be on a team member representing the team but the teams actually working together and displaying their collective talents to the best of their ability.

This should not take months to complete, nor should it take long to vote (as your idea of having everyone produce a beat each week would). The point of having teams is basically a waste if no collaboration takes place. Whether the teams work together to produce a track or decide amongst themselves which track will represent their team is unimportant, but if people have to listen to ten different tracks prior to voting you can be certain that people will lose interest fast as has always been the case.

absolutely not. I disagree. If you have one person representing the team every battle, then that goes against the team concept.

By having random, one on one battles between team members, the team with the strongest MEMBERS wins. Team A could have 2 GREAT people and 3 people who suck. Team B could have 5 average people...

The way you're suggesting, team A would win every time, cuz they'd just send out thier great people. But in having individual battles within the team, the best TEAM will win...not the team with the strongest person.

Uploading beats should be staggered. Say it's Team A vs Team B week. On Monday, 1vs3 beats would go up. Votes would come in.

On Tuesday, 4vs2 beats would go up. Votes would come in.

So basically you listen to 2 beats a day if you wish. Or you can listen to all 10 of them at the end of the week.

So by friday, all beats will be up, and there is still saturday to vote, and votes tallied on sunday and winning team announced.

So the score could be something like 50 to 37. And the best TEAM would have won.

Then it starts over again on Monday.

Simple. 2 beats per day to listen to. I'd love to have 2 brand spankin new beats to look forward to listening to every day.

What team are you on?

What is sooooooo hard to understand? This is Checkers, NOT CHESS! Its simple, you organize a team of 5, and your mission is to hold down the thrown as THE team to beat in the BBF! No algebra involved, just bring heat! If your team wins collectively, then you advance and take on the next on-comers, if you lose, you take a 7-day vacation!

I mean seriously, the BBF is not going away any time soon, but some of yall are acting like this is the last battle before Christ returns!! We all have different ideas and I cant wait to get them underway, but one thing at a time.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm saying. We all know the likes of One80 and Proper T's shyt. Even if their beats sound pretty futuristic and what not they still bring ENERGY to their shyt!

Plain and simple....don't be scared of who's who and what's what. I know what you listen to when you're not on FP and it's cool. I know how nyggas get during online beat battles. Put the same nyggas in front of a Beat Society match and see how far you'll get with that 250,000 Switchup arrangment bullshyt. Muphukas will start throwing blunt filings at ya for that crap.

I won't say anymore on the subject because people will vote acording to what they like...just like Troup said.

Troup also used to say the same people NEVER LISTEN. I suppose we're in agreement that our victories depend upon the opinions of a coupla dumbasses.

I'm ready.

I'm not necessarily suggesting that a team should use it's best members but I wouldn't care as long as one beat represented the team. The way it is now only one or two teams would send their best members while the others seem to be evened out all around.

I'm not on one, I don't have the time. However I did plan on voting since all the talk of this has spilled into other sections. It simply won't be worth the effort to listen to ten tracks for every match up.

ALSO, one other idea...to keep it COMPLETELY RANDOM.

matchup's will be this...

1vs1
2vs2
3vs3

etc...

but here's how we keep it somewhat fair...

Oposing teams will choose team member numbers...

Meaning.

The Bomb Battilion will choose the number assignments for the S/D's.

The MMC's will choose the number assignments for TBB

S/D will give MMC thier number assignments.

etc...

So from the time that numbers are chosen, you'll know who you're gonna go against...But you don't know WHEN you're gonna face them, since teams are pitted against each other at the beginning of the week.

The only other option is making number assignments within the team, reporting those to a "neutral" figure, and TRUSTING that neutral figure to draw matchups at random.

I don't know how much trust is gonna go on here though.
