what do u guys think of shawty lo's - they know remix with lil wayne and ludacris, i think that lil waynes voice sounds fu cked up with that autotune on there u cant even understand wtf hes sayin
 
sometimes you just cant understand him period. i think wayne is heading into that 70's hippie thing with hip hop which i like but dude needs to come to earth once and a while.
 
i duno wut kinda style hes doin but it sounds retarded lol, it sounds okay on t pain i guess since he came up with it and he perfected it , i herd like 2 tracks with the autotune on lil wayne and it dont sound nice
 
man weezy has been really dissapointing me in the last couple months....all that singin and sh!t is not cool at all.....and the verses he been puttin out on other niggas remixes have been weak.....and the thing that broke the camels backs was when i heard this nigga doin that t-pain sh!t....smh.....well, it was cool maybe the FIRST time i heard it but he's been doin that sh!t on like every other song he's on....like two years ago wayne was killin sh!t like The Carter 2, both the Dedications, and The Suffix, but now he's turning into sum coke up, codined up bum....and its very dissapointing....

Well I think Wayne's voice cracks so much naturaly, that he dosent even need autotune... lol j/p, I havent herd it yet..

i never liked it when he used autotune on his voice, if he wanted an effect he shouldve choose somthin else, or his engineer or producer shouldve been smart enough to say, maybe we should explore different options on this.
 
idk if i've heard his **** with autotune. i think his **** is getting weaker now. idk what happened...
 
i can tell you exactly whats happnin to wayne. real life. that street sht he talks is catchin up with him cause he's tryin to live what he talks about. you been rappin for how long and you just now joinging a gang? doin drugs? kissin men? whats going on with you? the stuff people don't talk about on rap recors is the real streets, the real club, the real hood. i saw weezy on the cover of hip hop weekly or something awhile ago with a white chic, they both looked like trash, leaving a night club or something. the girl was pudgy and both of them were all sweaty, lookin beat down and tired. she had hair all stuck to her sweat drenched face, wayne was all sweaty like he was a fiend, jones'n for his next fix. i'm like see, this is what they don't talk about, how u look and feel like trash after a night of drinkin and druggin and going home with dirty foot woogie. i bet he woke up to her the next morning like WTF!?!? not to mention how he paid his way into a gang so they would stop exstorting him and his incestuous "paw". i like lil wayne, lyrically. or, i used to, my love for him is starting to wain. pun intended. i used to defend him when we spoke about mc's. tell people to actually listen, cause the boy was nice with the mic. now, i don't know what to say. even tho i still kinda like his music, i can't support someone who talks to foolishly in magazine interviews and utoob vids. crazy. i want someone to talk about all the downside to the hood/club/streets. cause thats all you ever hear on songs, "i'm in the club, the hood, the streets, making this money cause a nga gotta eat" is that all anyone has to talk about? what alot of them aren't sayin is that they're at the (gay) club, or on them (suburban) streets shawty, or some nice clean safe police patrolled (neighbor)hood. talk about the ladies who act crazy and key your car or stalk you after she threw her panties at you and u beat it up and now you find out she's physco! talk about that, don't tell kids to shoot everybody including newborns, thats dumb. so is this thread. haha. i've said my peice, now i bid yo peace.

Oh, and that autotune/tune/melodyne stuff, sounds dumb. Especially on that shawty lo remix. Long live roger troutman, zapp, and the talkbox. Which is soooo not the samething as what people are doing with fore mentioned plugins. Roger had talent, cause he sang AND played the keys to get that effect. No disrepect to tpain.

i actually havent heard that remix, i heard the one with jeezy and somebody else, i forgot who, which i thought was weird cause jeezy down with ti, and i thought ti and shawty lo was beefin....but thats something else

Lil Wayne is the man... His verse on that song was hot... and that Autotune just proves he can do whatever he wants and still make a great song from it....

It's like he isnt even trying and hes having FUN using that stuff and guess what, it still sounds good!... Plus it is DIFFERENT!

Read in the XXL issue with Jay-Z on the cover, that Shawty Lo was in jail before D4L popped off and that the snap-pop-sound they went with wasnt what he wanted. If you listen to any of the other songs from that album it's a far cry from those sing-song singles.

I thought the verse was hot. It was out there. Jeezy killed it as well.

If yall listen to a lot of T-Pain's stuff, he really doesnt use the harsh autotuner that much. His voice is just strange.
