ATL- the movie Is this true?

I was watching hood fab today on MTV. They were in the A and one of the questions was which movie was loosely based on the life of Dallas Austin and T-Boz from TLC. It caught me off guard when they said ATL. Does anyone know if this is true.

didnt know til i googled it jus now but ...

"ATL" - The Story: Loosely based on the experiences of producer/songwriter Dallas Austin and Tionne T-Boz Watkins, "ATL" is the story of a group of four Atlanta teenagers who are preparing for the challenges of life after high school.

Yep. The overall story is based on that, but what happened during the movie isn't at all...
 
I don't know Dallas Austin so I can't speak on that... But the skating rink, the girls there, that whole culture depicted in the movie is part of your upbringing if you grew up here. Cascade on the westside, Golden Glide on the eastside. Sparkle in Gwinnett lol

Yep! golden glide was the ****! Then Decatur Family Skate opened that teen club... Remember the riot that happened there? Had like 2 police helicopters and a riot squad for some elementary and middle school kids. That was a fun night, lol.

That's how it is for those RAISED here lol. They wonder why we are how we are. In the A we are about having fun. A nigga here will look at you so silly if you come in the door trying to act like you somebody; even if you are! None of that **** matters cause ***** you in the same spot as I am and these hoes are choosin lmao. I been to a lot of places and the only other place that is like here is Cleveland...And they be on that NY **** too sometimes always tryna fight n **** lol.
