HI EVERYBODYY!
soooo i have a motif...im tired of it..its not rap or rnb...its just pop..to many real sounds...not enough like weird synths and bass...and im shocked i dont know if its me but theres no 808 setting anywhere so im basicially about to give it up...so i was wondering should i get an asr 10...or should i get a fantom g6 or x6?:cry:

listen to my second trac i used a motif es6 to make it...but a motif can def make hip hop tracks just gotta make the sounds wrk for u ..but asr 10 or fantom is a hands down (fantom) why wud u want a asr 10 cuz yay got 1

but on a serious note pardon if that sounded mean but a fantom will do you just fine its up to date pretty easy to use an had alot of great "hiphop" sounds, you can sample, and do anything u eva wanted to do basically with that workstation were as the asr 10 from wht i hear isnt all its cracked up to b alot of returns to match the purchases but the asr 10 has alot of old sounds which isnt bad because i hear alot of old sounds being used lately

yeah i like the motif dont get me wrong but its not like....not wat im looking for and ya lol the asr just looked so niceee and ive heard so much about it but yeah ima just sell this es7 and get a fantom so i can use it as a midi controller also and its small so its pretty nice

I have a MO8. There are plenty of Hip-hop and R&B sounds in there. Plus there are sound bank expansions availible. There is a 808 sound bank in there also. It's not as good as the Fantom's 808's but they are good. Honestly I like the Fantom sounds better because the piano sounds better and the synths too but the Motif is a solid piece. Only get a ASR-10 if you plan on sampling a lot like Kanye. I have made killer both R&B and Hip-hop tracks with the Motif.

i have reason and i have an mpc 4000 i just wanted another bigger keyboard because im selling my motif and ya ill be doing alot of sampeling but i would just use the asr 10 as a midi controller and for the sounds that it has in it...thats why i was wondering which woukld be better fantom or that?

Yo Fam..

Asr-10 = Sampler
MPC 4000 = Sampler (WITH KEYGROUPS)
Motif = Sampler/Workstation...

See the pattern??? Don't ever get rid of that Motif... You will always need to fall back on those real sounds. Weird sounds can be had with almost ANY popular VST as well as the free ones. Your MPC4k Samples and it even uses keygroups... which means u can sample entire patches to it with velocity and play them from your midi keys/controller keyboard. WHYYYYYYYYYY Sell the Motif??? I would use it for base sounds to tweak into the MPC4K along with sounds from Reason. The AsR-10, (because i have an Asr-X pro), will be a pain because of the environment youre coming from The ASR series use floppies, so u gotta go out and get a thick ass scsi HD or drive which cost more money at this point than it should. Then.. dont even talk about repair if ur certain unit doesnt function correctly. What you have is a beast already... learn to use what you have to the fullest and you won't be sorry. The crystal clear sounds of the motif are truly something to behold...

P.S. The Asr-10 doesnt come with any crazy sounds that would be any better than your motif in it. Its 100% sampler bro... the same way the Motif and the MPC can sample...

Roland created the TR-808 so if thats what u want get the Fantom G...but I think you can get some hot as RNB tracks from the Motif
