The majority in hiphop don't care who you are or what you do if you make hot music.

Luther Vandross - he was gay and everyone knew it. it wasn't until he died that his friends started admitting he was a unhappily closeted homosexual. Everyone already knew and the last two generations have loved his music. name a rapper that wouldn't do a track with Luther if they would have had the chance.

LOL pay attention to the lyrics (or lack thereof). You'll notice that when speaking to his "significant other" in love songs it's not gender specific. dawg wasn't known for using words like her, she, woman, etc. but words like honey, baby ect that don't announce the gender being spoken to. I cant front like I know his catalog like that but that's what I noticed in a song or two years ago.

Sade ain't having it, mane, period.

Luther was gay, but his lover wasn't getting any. I guess I have to same some BS like (no homo) after saying that.

Micheal Jackson is far from what gossip news believes think he is. MJ is one of the most powerful, intelligent black men alive right now. Respect that. Weak mahfukkaz think about how much pussy they can get when they get rich. This man is more concerned about his seed gettin kidnapped by the US government. That's some deep ish. The media ain't shyt. They will say everything false about you and make it seem true just to get attention. It's all MJ's fault for the image he portrays though. That is what makes him hard to believe. But knowing the US Government, is knowing they use their power to their advantage. Racism still lives, MJ even said that.

R.Kelly is from the hood. Ah, he believes if it has hair down there then she is legal. Ah, is he doin time right now? Must not be that serious. Must have been a come up situation for a young freak who is still gettin trains ran on her lil freaky azz. Bytches need to keep they legs closed, and leave them fake id's alone.

Prince?? Two divorces and some new cut action. Ah, alot of R&B cats have an image to display. It ain't Princes fault that gays wanna act like him, not him acting gay.

PS Sade ain't having it.

Actually i was the one saying no one cared if George Michael was sampled so your not right. Someone else said that people wouldn't sample him.

a very popular track in Dance Music right now is Erik Prydz vs Floyd.. Proper Education...but its pretty difficult to get a sample cleared by them..

George Michael's Father Figure was sampled on both PM Dawn and LL Cool J records

and who cares or what does it matter if so and so is gay if its a great song. homophobia rears its ugly head again

ya but that doesnt change the fact that people believe what the media shows and says. all i was getting at was that even with their influence and his own actions he still has a strong following proving that his actions cannot cancel out the relevance of his music.

that's i-gnant as hell,

o you think that's what the hood believes? ask almost any brotha with a 14 year old daughter. i'm from the hood and i don't feel that way nor do the people i associate with. i know some cats that cop 'em early at like 17 or 18 but that's to young IMO for R. Kelly who turns 40 this year.

gays wanna act like prince and prince wanna act like girls and girls make best friends out of gays, it's a vicious circle.

I'm not sayin it's a hood thing like everybody f's 14 year olds. I was saying that in a joking but realistical way. Yeah, that's what a good percentage thinks. They might say BS about they too young but let a 14, 15year old but naked be at they partnas crib open door policy style, they aint asking ages, names, or none of that. I don't feel that way, period, I feel it's pathetic on both the young hoe and the old scrub. 14 year olds are lookin 21 with hips and thighs, fat tits and all that. It's a shame, who is the blame? I know the answer. I said that because I heard that phrase come out of a lot of dudes mouth. It fits R.Kelly perfect. But ah, a lot of dudes get f'd up with them young hoez in the "hood". They need to keep they legs closed, they sick along with the sick dudes that don't think deeply about it.

Prince knew how to bring the freakiness out of women. Women like that highly sensitive, I can't take it, I want you so bad type of shyt. It's marketing strategy that worked for him. It worked so well that gays got obsess with his style. Sensitvity will always out sell whats on the charts. That's what women want, and women are the #1 customer target.

This ain't a thread about chesters, fam. If you wanna talk about RKelly, start up another thread. . .

Cam sampled Prince's "diamonds & pearls" so rule that out!
& Young Jeezy sampled Diana Ross "I Got Muscle" on his new album so write that off too!

Beatles have been sampled by Kanye - Talib Kweli track, cant remember the name!

Ppl who refuse thier music to be sampled???? hhhhmmmmm?????

Forgive me if my preconceptions are wrong but i dont think country artists would take kindly to "Black Hip Hop Artists" sampling thier music so i guess thiers one for you!

C Mak mang--
Apart from the fact that this is one of the most groundless arguments I've ever heard, I'm not in this for fame.

1005--
Or money. Throwing away my art for a little cash is something I like to call selling out. Not my line, thank you very much.

but it wasnt used on the album, Kweli said himself that they couldnt clear it, and the Cam "Diamond and Pearls" track was never officially released.

when did sly stone become unclearable? he's got to be one of the most sampled artists ever. the roots sampled him recently.

and what about diana ross, "im comin out", was that a special clearance for puff?
