Akon Vs T- Pain

who do u prefer?why?

Both have enjoyed international sucess. I gotta give T- Pain credit for being very independent and stuff. His Melodies are insane but having said that Akon makes some catchy azz **** aswell and is very distinct ( you dont get ppl wantin " That Akon effect" ).

Altho i really like both of them as artists im leaning more towards T- Pain just cuz dude has really been making everything a hit in recent years , his ideas are fresh and again his melodies are insane even tho it seems that hed hop on to anyones track. Akon is more exclusive lol.
 
both are tight.......but I prefer Akon's voice.........somewhat harder to me

cant picture T-Pain singing about a toolie on the wastline
 
<p>Both are good but T-pain is killin' it right now! I like T-Pain for his sound, song arrangement and his variety of hits. He's making the autotune work for him too.

these are the only 2 cats i wanna hear usin' autotune, cuz they can actually sing, and pretty much just use it as an effect...they made it part of their style tho'...everyone else is copycats...thats why t-pain is on his ringleader of the circus trip...cuz its crazy everybody bit their style and ran w/ it...i know they didn't originate it, but they brought it back in style...everyone else is bitin'...

back 2 the original question...in the beginning i prefered akon cuz he had more quality music and less gimmicks...as of lately everything akon does sound like the "Smack That" song w/ Eminem which is very, very weak to me...esp. the new song he got w/ Pall Wall....T-Pain is more relevant to hip-hop rite now, while Akon has gone str8 pop...
 
As a producer T-pain. As A songwriter Akon wins. Voice wise I prefer T-pain cuz akons is jus a bit too whiny for me
 
T-Pain is on my favorite beat of this year ("She Got It", not favorite song, favorite beat), and Akon was on my favorite beat of last year ("I'll Still Kill"), so since "She Got It" came out later, I'll say T-Pain, lol.
 
honestly, i have respect for both dudes, but i like t-pain more, he is more creative IMO. plus that new akon single really turned me off to him.
 
T pain all day.Akon voice is kinda annoying sometimes.Tpain melodies are off the chain
 
Both are great ,but Akon takes the win as far as hooks and production. What I admire about Akon is he makes you feel the emotion with this beats and hooks with songs like: The Rain, Tired Of The Runnin, Never Forget Me, Out Here Grindin, I Tried, Change Up, Cross That Line...the list goes on lol
 
Akon was crazy in his old joints, like Cross that line, Locked up, I still bump that. But he aint suited for the whole pop thing imo, and now he's getting too...I dunno, annoying.
Now T-Pain is on his A game with killer hooks and song ideas that are fresh as hell. And no he can't sing, but I can listen to him without my ears hurting.

I'd say T-Pain, just because he has more fresh original stuff out.
 
Haven't been feelin Akon's new **** tbh, but Pain has been bringin crack, especially with his circus soundin songs lol.
 
Akon has topline. But that's where it stops

Pair that with his whiny voice and samey hooks and you'll realize akon ain't that hot

T-Pain got topline, crazy harmonies and straight to the point style of writing that everyone feels. Plus is on hot beats constantly. He's without a shadow of a doubt the best artist.

Yet akon wins

T-Pain makes more catchy tracks, but i feel like Akon has more substance

T pain. I saw him in concert a few weeks ago, He's a great entertainer and his shows are dope. His music, I can relate to him more because were around the same age(me 22, him 23.....still dont believe that **** lol)...T-pain for President
 
well i dont like either akon always got on my nerves t pain was kool but im sick an tired of hearin him then again i hate top 40s music anyways
