Hi,
is the IB-M208P (for MPC2000XL) compatible with Akai s2000? A few people claim it is, other say theres AKAI IB-208P, and then, other say that IB-208P is compatible with MPC 2000 (not XL); And then I realise that IB-M208P, is compatible with MPC 2000 and XL versions, meaning that either is compatible with akai s2000.

So, damn, anyone know something about this?! Please let me know, its a confusion!

I dont know If I double post it, but I guess not!

thanks

Sorry, i'm a bit confused. What do you mean by compatable? What are you trying to do, as in, how do you plan to use the two together?

I dont believe it is compatible. You can make the s2000 8 out board fit in a MPC 2000/xl with a bit of hacking - but i dont think physically (i mean the jacks are a different size) it would work the way you are asking.

Anyway the dedicated 8-out board for the S2000 is normally a lot cheaper than the dedicated MPC 2000/xl board - so why would you want to do it?

I've got a mint condition 8 outs expansion for an S2000 (im based in europe) - pm me if you are interested (i can accept paypal).

Thanks for replying! Yeah, a few people claim its the same board but the plate where it sits is diferent; Meaning that I could create a plate for the IB - M208P sits on the Akai s2000, just wondering though;

3d Beats, I just asked if the IB-M208P (being sold as MPC2000XL expansion board), if it is compatible or not with the Akai S2000, the sampler.

Sammmyb90, i'll PM right away

Yeah, sorry, i was just confused, i thought you were talking about the actual devices, not the board...my bad there.

Nah, thats ok! Thanks for your atention actually, thats important, I were just asking because I've found a nice business, but its coming without the rest plate, so I were thinking about risking a few bucks and try to do one rest_plate by my own =) Dont have the money to get a new one, so... Just wondering =)

The guy just said that from whom he got that board, didnt gave him the rest plate, that let him put that on the MPC 2000 XL, so, he got a new one and have that hanging around in his room and selling cheap

Peace
