I'm looking for a new sampler and was wondering if anyone knows the skinny on the Akai Remix 16... It looks like a no-nonsense live sampler, but I can't find any info on it! I'm also wondering what folks think about the Yamaha SU-700 versus the Ensoniz ASR-X pro. I've heard the sequencer on the ASR bites. How about the Roland SP-808? Does it really only have a polyphony of 4???
***Yeah, I know the AKAI MPC2000 is the bomb, but I don't have that kind of money to spend unfortunately...

Dont know much about the Remix 16.
Sequencer on ASR does bite. Either you learn to live with it or you hate it. The SU seems like a better deal than the MPCXL. Check my prior post for details.
Thanks for the input Sig. I too think the SU-700 seems like the better deal...for the money anyways. But the Remix 16 has me intrigued. AKAI's website lists it as a part of their product line, but no one seems to know anything about it. Very eerie indeed.
