I have been looking at this unit but i see the obvious uses but can those faders be used for volume faders? Will it be already mapped with ableton or will i need to do that manually

I also currently have a 25 key controller would. A bigger one benefit me? And if so do i get one with knobs or just a basic one?

It has instant mapping for Ableton yes. Of course the faders can be used for your channel volume faders.
As for the rest, only you can know. If you feel you could use a few more octaves to play with, go with a bigger one, if you think you could use the knobs, go with the knobs!
