Ableton Sample saving help

When you sample something... how do you save it... because when i save it on my hard drive and change the location of the sample it screws up my whole session...

ANY HELP?
 
Use the File Manager (in Live, that is) to relink the sample to the session when you've moved it. Or you can just drag your samples into Live's library for re-use.
 
For me I never had that problem in Ableton. But a couple people I know said they did. I doubt its a mac vs pc thing. But for me, all of the songs that I plan on sampling are in my library. When I drag it into the session view, I just split the sections I plan on using and drag them into a blank drum rack. And save the project. Whenever I go back, its always there just how I had it.
