I use Edioral HQ Orchestral as one of my go-to plug in's for strings and brass

edirol orchestral

Yuk! I thought it sounded really artificial. I'd recommend sampling brass and strings. Emulation just doesn't cut it at the moment...

yea, its synthesis, but if he is buying, and wants the whole orchestra, and is a beginner, its prolly the best choice, imo. its definitely 'real' enough for me. if you want something 'realer' than that, you can either collect a trillion samples, which arent as useful or as varied, or get a better vst which is gonna cost ya a whole lot more than edirol.

im actually sick of recomending edirol so much.....:D

peace.

Luxonix Ravity (s) is a good vsti, it has krazy sounds. It's nice for rap, good luck.
