man i'm all for the beef, and 50 seems to be picking a fight with everyone which means more dis records from all sides, but i duno if thats good or bad but as regards to nas being finished, no way. Street's disciple was his best since illmatic and so he is as strong as ever due to the game becoming more commercial. 50 will probably outsell nas eventually but that's not because he's better but due to the commercialisation of the game. 50 is part of a newer generation and has more albums behind him. More records are sold 2day than ever before so thats just modernisation really.
But you're statement had very little to do with the nature of mine, i think 50 would probably win the beef between him and Nas and Jada, so you're more enforcing my point rather than discrediting it.
[/QUOTE

Sorry mate, we're getting our wires crossed. nas - one of the best, 50...if he's still shiftin units in 5 years, then on course to be one of the greats.
i agree with your 1st paragraph regarding the commercialism of hip hop, but its in all music now as u are aware.

what the post was regarding was, you said, 50's carreer was over.

how do u mean that 50's career is over when you just posted a message that said 50 probably will sell more than nas?

contradiction maybe?

Booooooom!

yeh wires crossed mate my fault i thought u were respondin to me about my statement but saw u quoted after my reply so yeah.
but i never said 50's carear was over, no way. He's the hottest member of G Unit, but then we have to see what game is guna offer. but 10x platinum 50 will be around to see Nas' retirement i think and so his carear is as healthy as it was 18 months ago.

True mate, very true.

beef - who won nas -jay-z?

after ether - nas!!

who's the more popular over in the states then, jay-z or nas.

can u recomend any decent underground artists i can get some material of?

i dunno if nas or jay-z won, some fool said that nas fought jay-z and looked what it did to him but that's bull****. Nas it the best lyrically but as a general rapper then jay-z is the man, no doubt, a retired legend and that level up from Nas i think so I think jay came out of it better than Nas. As for the underground i'm not sure, i have a good collection of mixtapes but tend to sway towards rappers who've made it but i hear the Detroit scene may be picking up soon and that its guna be the next NY for underground so have a look around for some underground Detroit rappers, i mean they've had some good from Em, Obie D12 and Royce so look into that is my advice, does anyone else have any good advice on who the underground killer mc's are at the mo

top bloke, i agree with nas and jay-z, as in styles.

nas has some amazing raps and flows but jay-z paints a better picture in his raps and is more of an entertainer, whether that matters or not. look at eminem, his pictures arent painted, theyre digitaly implanted into your brain and he's the biggest seller at the mo.

yeah i agree jay-x got to the top and then stopped, thats the best way, but i read an interview with naz the other day regarding the 50 beef and nas said 'look what happened to the last rapper that went against me...he retired;

i was like, get off ya horse mate, he retired cos he was on top,but as we all know nas, he does big himself up the most.
nastradamus, gods son.....etc.

still a class act tho.

halftime is one of my faves.

before i front....

cool, thanks for that, i need some underground stuff to make a dark mixtape

problem with nas, as good a rapper as he is, he seems to think he's jesus or something, i know he's an intelligent geeze, his lyrics are good due to how much he read as a child, the black plight and all that. But he acts as if he is the next christ, all than nastradamus, gods son and streets disciple and how he talks about his greatness. Bull**** about jay-z retiring because of nas, the black album left jay at the top and thats where he wanted to be, i mean that beef is history now anyway, not since stillmatic was there any real beef between the 2of them so it has nothing to do with his retirement.
Nas is still mint tho i like shoot 'em up, got myself a gun and last real nigga alive, i prefer his newer stuff to the older music, it was hot then but now i think it feels a bit outdated in comparison to what is being done now.
Thats why 50 would bury nas, nas relies on his lyrics and his best is outdated whereas 50 is leading the rap game with nas trying to keep up and stay in it, his newer stuff is good, but 50 and his g unit crew are better, who's nas got behind him n e way, bravehearts and mobb deep, harly formidable no! 50 all the way

yeah fully agree mate, well after a Fully agree yet again mate.

i havent listended to streets disciple yet, im saving for my synth but im guessing some bad songs and some **** hot songs. but he does rate himself too much. i refused to listen to him, which was wrong but i just didnt like the way he portrayed himself as some god - as u said, but then i listened to illmatic and i was sooo shocked. personally, its probably my fave, next to the dynasty n the slim shady...hey rhymed.

anyway - the jigga is better in my eyes.

nuff of that anyway.

after a rough start, you've made my day go a bit faster cos im here til 10pm - uk time.

get down also rocks.

so i take it youre in the states.

whos big at the mo?....the usual or is there anyone thats just made it?

whos this guy called thug slim or slim thug from the neps, is he any good?

i dont know if you've heard of him, but we have a rapper called dizze rascal - just wondering what the feedback was from u guys, afterall u started rap.

i think he'll probably get the thumbs down.

he's pretty popular over here.

yeah i got the slim thug album already platinum my mate loves him but i'm not a fan all that much. I'm from the USA but live in Manchester England at the mo. Yeah I got dizzee's first album, some records on that were hot but overall i didn't like it 2much, i have some songs off his new album but i'm still not 2 keen. Dizzee wasn't recieved much in the US, it's hard for the Brits to get in there 2well cause out own music dominates the charts whereas you're music is a mixture but has a large domination from the US.
The man I'm lookin forward 2 tho is the Game, who is part of G Unit, his album is out Jan 18 05 so i advise u defo buy that, Timbaland, Kanye, Dre and Em have all produced on it and 50 has a major influence in the rapping but it looks hot. Have u heard
Westside Story
Higher
How We Do
Envy Me
Like Father Like Son

There the ones i've heard and i advise u get ur hands on them if u can. I think he may well be better than 50, whether he outsells him is another matter.

wat u doin over here?

im from the midlands, not that it matters.

seems all this synth saving has left me behind.

i better buy slim straight away.

yeah, u dominate our charts to the max.

but hey i dont min, as long as it keeps pi55 poor acts like busted off the tv - i dont care.

yeah, i heard about the game, sayin how he's dre's new protege.

should be good, cos dre...say no more.
yeah 50's good but live, he's pants, he just shouts.

but cant wait til the valentines day massacre.

i came over in 02 to see my aunt in the summer she lives in Salford, but i jus ended up stayin here for longer. I'm gunna go back this summer cause i'm a bit bored.
I went to 50's no mercy no fear in manchester and i thought it was ****ing brilliant to say the least, fair enough if you didn't like him, but I liked it, I also went to see Nas, Obie and D12 while they were here, they were hot as well but D12 was crap but they are pretty poor.
But yeah look out for the game coz he's the westside revival and is gonna be hot.
I get all the major albums though, ja rule's abum RULE is pretty good but then again he is R&B, a lot of people hate Ja cause of the 50 beef but I'm here for the music, i still like Joe Budden even though The Game killed him over beef and Budden's new album i cant wait for. Cam'rons purple haze is good and talib's beautiful struggle i think is pretty hot.
50 is out in march i believe, u heard disco inferno, its just in da club part 2 and sounds like 'on fire' but i still like it even if its not original, i hope he does a good job though

what part of the states u from?

dont get me wrong 50 is top, guess who's back is on par with get rich or die tryin, i do prefer the harder stuff sometimes, the more rough underground...etc, u get my drift?

i havent seen 50 live but from what ive seen of him at awards n tv programs he just seems to shout.

i saw eminem at the mk bowl and i was very dissapointed with his show, yes the fairground stage was ace, but why does he have a backing track??!!

but 750000 people standing in the pi55ing down rain singing stan, u cant beat it.

does he rekord his rhymes so complex that he cant do them live??

i saw obie in brum and too be fair, he was top. he does get his critics but i like obie.his show was class, nothing fancy, just a mic and a crap on-stage monitor engineer who kept giving obie mic feedback...very annoying.

i saw jay-z at wembley and well, too be fair, no fancy backdrop just a dj with a backdrop and some pyros for 'you dont know'...no backing track, just pure hip hop.
class.no doubt.

i wanted to see nas, but had no money - gutted i was.

kanye west, i wana c him.

he seems ok, although he does admit to his rhymes being crap - 'miracle whip' - which i thought was a bit stupid but his flow does go, whoever writes his lyrics.

his beats tho are 50/50 - jesus walks...well what can u say...ace, but he uses a speeded up soul sample in each one. give it a rest.

welcome to new york city was a class beat.

too be fair, i have bever brought or heard a talib kweli track - when i hear his name i always think to myself to buy an album but never do..
can u reccomend one?
ta.

i'm from st petersberg near tampa, florida. I went to see Kanye last year and i ****in love that guy, his music is just different but keeps true to hip hop which is defo a winning formula.
50's guess who's back is an amazing album, i love 50 bars, **** you wi big pun n nas, corner bodega n ghetto quran, there some of the hottest tracks ever created in hip hop no doubt.
Quality is a good album but so is the beautiful struggle, try n get hold of 'get by' if you can, thats probably the best tracks he's done, at first i hated it but now i love it, so if u do get hold of it then give it a chance.

...kill ya in 8 bars, erm 50 jay-z n nas.

yeah kanye - is quality.

cheers for the talib info - ill do my best.

its on my fone now, so i will have it.

off home now to try and choose a synth, still very unsure.

good speakin to ya mate.

He's attacking to many EMcees that can acctually rap!!! His carrer is OOOOVVVEEERRRRR.

If all these cats got on one song, and went at 50 for the way he looks as well as all the other stuff he gets on them about, they will shut this negro up for sure. I like 50, but enough is enough, he needs to humbled.

I say released a 7 min long diss track on 50.

Whose going to help 50 besides Banks & Em? Yayo? Please nobody even knows this cat. Em can't hold off Nas, and Fat Joe has gotten so much better over the past year or two.

The hoes are the ones that's gonna make or break this nigga's career, if it's like that when disco inferno comes on, we'll really know after Nas, Jada and anyone else who wants to clown this kat gets done with his ass though. And you are right he needs to be officially humbled.

It's real simple. 50 is straight up garbage. He is the gum on the bottom of my shoes when I go to check the mail.

I'm sorry, that bum can't rap worth a damn. Grant it, I think Ja Rule IS a joke.

However, NAS? Man that fool would CLOWN 50 on a 30 second B-side.

50 is just doing what Eminem did to gain that cash, and that's diss EASY targets.

and if ANYONE thinks 50 can rap I'll laugh at you through my computer screen. I HATE this bum, but I will not deny the beats behind him, it's a shame he ruins everything with mumblin.

Disco Inferno = SICK ASS BEAT.
LYRICS = the garbage can.

50's lyrics are hot.

...no, they aren't. they're actually pretty terrible. assuming you can even understand him. mumbly-mouthed motherfncker.

let's review:

"i'm into having sex, i ain't into making love, so come give me a hug"
--this doesn't even make any sense

"i love you like a fat kid loves cake"
--OPL has gone over this

and the kicker:
"garble garble no one can understand me because i got shot in the mouth too many times so i can't even talk but i'm going to rap anyway and oh yeah vendetta beretta chedda"

that said, no one is ending his career because the majority of the record-buying public don't care about lyrical skill.
