#1 Way To Break Into The Industry Pt. 2

make a song paying homage to your city/state

make a song paying homage to a worldwide crisis

make a song talking about issues such a racism, sexism, religion etc.

Examples:

wiz khalifa's black and yellow is talking about the pitsburgh steelers

I also believe this is the song that got him where he is now

It went 3x platinum

ludacris's georgia was a pretty big song

It also got field mod recognition, but they didnt use It to their advantage

It went gold

jayz z and alicia keys song empire state of mind is about newyork

It went 5x platinum

who can forget we are the world by usa for africa

The song means that we should care about others and bring peace through out the world. So we can make the world a better place.

it went 4x platinum

drakes hyfr pays homage to his jewish heritage

It went gold

the song motto by drake wayne and tyga pays homage to the bay area

It went 2x platinum

and last but not least who could forget lady gaga's born this way

"born this way" is about how everybody is equal, regardless of skin color, sexuality, or creed, and that every person can fulfill his or her dream.

It went 8x platinum'

stay tuned for #1 way to break into the industry pt.3

Actually, the best way to break into the industry is to...

1) Be original.

2) Never give up.

There are no other ways.

You can have all that and still be making beats in your bedroom on a torrented copy of FL Studio. Either you got it or you don't. People discount luck and the "it" factor all the time, but it's real. Kim Kardashian got famous for sucking dick. You think she's the only chick with a nice ass to ever suck a dick? No.

Plus, not to diss you, but how do you have 2 threads on how to get in the industry, and you aren't in the industry?

It's ok sir I didnt take It in a offensive matter

these are really just my Ideas about how to get into the industry.

even If these dont work for me maybe somebody will put these ideas into their hustle and maybe It'll work for them.

also, I see what you mean about the kim kardashian thing.....lol

also, you guys are right, there's no formula to break into the industry

these are more-so what I like to call blueprints on how to break into the industry

Of course they do or else nobody would of commented in your thread or viewed it. I do however believe the more relevant question is how do you define 'success' in 2012.

For example if you got signed to Def Jam tomorrow, dropped a few singles and a few mixtapes, made a little noise and then got shelved and dropped from the label and you was never to get another major deal and basically fell straight off the map (ex - 344 Mobb from Alabama, remember them??) and your looking back at it 5 years later would you view your stint with the music industry as successful or a failure?

What about a similar scenario but this time you actually make 1 half-way hit record (ex - remember 'Chicken Noodle Soup'????) only to be never heard from again. Would you look back and say you 'made it!'?

There is no right or wrong to all this, just things to ponder on your adventurous journey...
