Epic/inspirational Scale??

I think you need to think more about melodic construction in terms of the intervals you use - any scale can be epic, but it depends on how you move from note to note - and the rhythms used as well.

The following short examples show the most common intervals upwards and downwards within the octave and with an octave displacement on either of the notes.

Rhythms used have been chosen based on their use in "epic" film scoring and other situations; these include three and four note motifs.

That happens once you continue these phrases - I can't do all of the continuations as it very quickly becomes a large number of possibilities even with just the four notes I uses there were 16 examples per each of the 16 examples (256 different examples). To consider the possible 24 continuation notes we end up at 6144 examples, obviously beyond the scope of this site for an answer.

I just want to add that a lot of epicness/inspiration has to do with your chord progression choices and your arrangement overall
