A $100 microphone? Who needs a microphone? If you shout loud enough into the preamp you can do away with needing one and save yourself a hundred bucks!

I have a Rode NT-1000 and I like it. vocals are on my soundcloud below. I think it definitely mixes down better than the 120 dollar usb mic I had, but I need to listen to more mics like in a studio environment to get a better feel for what a high dollar mic sounds like vs a cheaper mic and preamp. I've been looking at the ART Voicechannel as an upgrade. it looks like a great mic pre with USB but I don't know if it works like an interface. I think it does. Oh yea it has the digital out so if USB latency is bad you can/ or I can at least/ use the S/PDIF digital out to in on my computer. I've heard good things about Sony(10,000$) and AKG c414(999$) mics from a real life grammy winning producer. (first hand conversation, not something I heard on youtube) Apparently AKG is a great go to mic for everything, and he swears by the sony for vocals, much like Eminem.
