I found that I had the most success when I got of from behind my computer and went to where artist and producers hang out in the city (clubs, studios, ect).

Also get some business cards and hand them out at college campuses, business mixers, parades, free park concerts.

ALSO, DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE YOUR CARDS OUT TO PEOPLE THAT 'DON'T LOOK' LIKE THE MESS WITH RAP/HIPHOP OR MUSIC! Pass them cards out to Old/young, black/white, gay/straight, EVERYBODY!

Doing it with a good attitude and a smile helps, too.

Oh Yeah! A biggie for me was getting my business card in the hands as as many ladies as possible! They tend to be way more supportive than guys, lol!

And lastly, never underestimate the power of the next closest city, especially smaller cities, to network. They seem to be more willing to assist than people in your own city, crazy huh!?

I found that people want to see who you are and how you conduct yourself, to see if they want to mess with you. It's not neccesarily about locking the city down but getting people to sneak peep your site or for them to say 'yeah I heard of Freezyy101'

Now go out and shake some hands! 8-)

PS. It might help if you had a link to your beat site on your FP postings, I'm just saying ;-)

Making random sales off a big site like that is rare for me, too. I've had much more $uccess when I make actual connections with artists. That doesn't necessarily mean going out to clubs and actually talking - although that is a part of it too. But I'm talking about engaging with rappers who actually buy beats. Keep an eye out on social media.

Simply posting beats on SoundClick isn't enough, and that's the bottom line. You have to be active about it. Aside from making music, a lot of my work time is spent actually working my music. Shopping tracks to inquiring artists, sending tons of email, and staying up to date on the social sites. The time spent has turned into money earned.

Youre a beat business. Creating the product is only one aspect of any business.

I am interested in buying beats.

Please send me a private message with links to three (3) pop or dance instrumentals. Do not send any rap or hip-hop material.

Thanks.

Bro I'm not from a country like US that people get money with music . My country people don't invest on their music ( only a few do ) that's Im looking to sell beats online now . that's why I said that were can i get artists to check my page .FreezeOnTheTrack's sounds on SoundCloud - Hear the world

:)

This why you can't sell a beat. Lol, dude was practically ready to spend with you, you like "naaaaw, I don't want your business." /thread.
Also, don't you have a local scene, rapper, singers.....perhaps you should leave that e-hustle alone for a bit and focus on your serving your zip code first. You asking why you can't win the race when your cleats ain't ever touched the track.

Im not saying that i dont wanna work I can't lie to u bro saying that i have does tracks but i really don't . If u asked me to send the beats what would I do ? make the beats in real time and send ? no I'm a producer i can turn ur idea in to reality.

Focusing on my zip ? lol man i tried to team up with rappers for song writing and producing songs here nobody is serious about it because my country we are kinda poor and people don't buy beats (90%) the rest they prefer working with their own producers .The few artists that make a lot of money here are the ones that have their own producers to make beats and they don't leave them most of the time.

OK i wont lie I had a time that people were looking for me and wanted to buy beats a year later a raised the beat price they started to dessapear
lol . Thats why now im trying this online beat selling thing .there a lot of things i could tell u to make u understand

There are a lot of producers in Twitter looking for beats daily. You must contact them via eMail bro. Try searching "Send beats to" in Twitter. gotbeatsfor .com

thats a good idea too thanks bro.I tried that for a while most artist don't respond the ones that respond don't have money to pay for the beats i was charging like exclusive rights for 100$ .And if they wanted to lease i would send him a link where they can lease but still nothing

That is what I would do. If someone wanted to buy music from me, I would work to create something that person would like. But if you are not ready, I understand.

Good luck with your career.

in the last 3 months how many artists have you contacted
if it's under 300 artist than you ain't on your internet hustle
it should be about 200 artists, media companies, and music professionals on a monthly basis
so many ppl out there you can contact

There was a time that I used to take artists e-maills on twitter and send them beats . I didn't get a lot of responses the ones who answered only wanted free stuff

Dem, niggas on twitter only want free shit is true, but you got to start some where. Send a free track to them niggas and who know maybe they'll come back and buy there next beat. You got to start a business relationship some how. The only people who will pay for your beat are independent or sign artist but that a lottery ticket drawing that they will respond to you. When i first started producing i only cared that decent people get my shit but now it like **** it i want money no matter who it is..Like drake say got to start from the bottom.

hehehe yeah man . That's what I'm trying to do i tried to give some free shit but I think i had the luck of finding people that are not serious with the music . Then i never heard the tracks

"I wunna sell beats online but nobody takes me serious. Somebody offered 2 buy beats from me it they wanted some beats that I didn't want to make. I am now frustrated. Any advice!?"

Advices :
1.You shouldn't be frustrated man .
2.Not everybody is serious in the music scene
3.Try to keep up .

Here I am 3 years without selling but I never really stopped looking for people to sell my beats online . Because I wasn't selling any i came up with the idea of making beat catalogs at my blog www.freezeonthetrack.blogspot.com and send to peoples twitter accounts well I didn't get a lot of success because they didn't download (whatever), I'm still here looking for help in how to sell them/create relationships with artists .

start off with conversation just not blindly sending beats
get to know this artists
and not only artists but INDIE film directors on youtube
so many opportunities on Youtube
and Twitter is saturated because ppl just say hey I got beats for sale
instead of talking to folks and letting ppl see that you make beats
be subtle about it on twitter

you don't even have your site in your signature here
what if someone wanted to buy beats and see that you have beats for sale but you don't have a link to where you display/sale your beats
?????
you have to make it easy for them
