nice lab setup Joey. I may post up some updated pics later. I have severly down sized my setup since I last posted. Basically down to a laptop a midi controller turntable and monitors. I sold most of my hardware after not using it for a year. I still have my S3000, my EPS, and my mpc. Everything else is gone.

Here's my small setup.

2 Krk Rokit 8's
M-audio 61 keystation
32' LCD Moniter
Native Instruments Maschine
Ableton live 8.2
Reason 5

hey hey.
I'm new to composing and I don't get 1 thing:
Why do some studios have 3, 4 keyboards? Sometimes I even seen extra pianos in the same room . :S

Not all keyboards are the same. For example when i was running a totally hardware setup myself I had my Ensoniq EPS which was a sampler and had no real keyboard sounds in it. My Roland Alpha juno which was a traditional synth based purely on Saw Tooths and pulse waves. I had a Roland XP 30 which was kinda like a Fantom and at one point I had an Ensoniq ESQ-1 which was more of a wave table synth. Again 3 differet keyboards that all sound different and do different things and work completely different.

Aaah I get it. And are they worth the money? Or they have a really specific function?
I don't need any, but it's weird to see studio full of keyboards :O

Depends on what you want. Its just like buying a plug in.

You don't always have to have keyboards, for example I had the keyboard-less rack mount version of ESQ-1 called the ESQ-M that had the same analog filters etc but it lacked the sequencer. Often the rack version will be slightly different, sometimes it's better sometimes not but there are often instances that there is no rack version and so you have no option but to have a room full of keyboards.

Yeah bro they are a gem...my Rokits and my Alesis are collecting dust now! LOL

Folk think I'm crazy when I tell them Speakers make the best monitors unless you getting a SERIOUS(like $1,000+) setup. Good to see someone else who agrees.

Some really nice gear here. Impressed, I'm currently building a custom desk will post some pics up when its done!!

@JoeyCutless...what's up w/The Kathy Griffin poster son? I might need a literal "no homo" for that one
