You said I couldn't give advice... just wanted to show you that you just type to be typing and you seem to think people care about what you say one way or another... well, that was a whole thread of people that thought I gave pretty decent advice.
You can feel however you like though.
You won't find a more professional looking, more informative, well-laid out site than the PMP. That's the reason why I keep giving it good remarks.
I wouldn't want to be in a sea of 808's and arps being sold for for $45 exclusive rights. That's just me and my decision though. Everybody do you! It's the only way to go.

A&r consultants do not charge that much for their services you idiot!!! Go to bussiness school and you would learn that every consultant bussiness charges a smaller fee every hour, but usually it's free if you have a contract with them, but the artist have to pay back the money later. Usually a&r consultant do not have many many people in their consultant company. They only deal with people that are in the music bussiness/bussiness already!!!
You have to have a contract with them to be in their services!

I wasn't trying to be rude, just some forum humor at the most. It's what I do when there's a lull in the day. No hate and I wish you good luck in all of your musical endeavors.
Kinda sucks that you have the forum idiot attaching himself to your posts though. I know you wish there was a way to control that but you can't. Just try to distance yourself from him. You can see how much of an immature clown he is with the name calling and youtube vid posts. You don't want to be associated with that.
Also even if it were true that those people no longer work in the music biz, you probably wouldn't want to try to publicly discredit anybody with "TIES" to where you're trying to go. You might run into roadblocks because they're higher on the "food chain" than you are even if they ONCE worked in the biz. Your rant does nothing to help you or anybody else, I'm pretty sure many "former" music business people can still pull a few strings if they heard music that was worthy of getting behind.
People will think of what you said as someone just leaving a job... it doesn't mean they don't have ties with the people that work there. The day you leave a job, you leave the job not the people and damn near everything in the world is built on connections. Do you think someone as deep in the music game as the people you mentioned would ever be completely done with it?
The minute they hear Spunky Funk... they could remember a bad experience with you. Just my thoughts on this whole "going public" thing.

I wish i didn't, but i wanted people to know the truth before they end up wasting their hard earning money on those "has been" people who use to work for a recording company. I didn't expect people would try to defend them. I guess it's too late now because they all are brain wash by the cons.

From nakita: Yes they still have connections and still can keep in touch with most of them, but most of the artist in those labels been dropped years ago like danity kane, and etc etc. You know how diddy, eminiem, etc etc are busy doing their thing and they don't even have time to chit chat.

just believe me you guys when you call the recording company to get the truth. Or do your research and do background check.
I don't think doing research will give you good info because they are everywhere from articles and stuff. You need to dig deeper and find the real truth.

For your info, I learn the pros and cons about the bussiness, so when someone charges way too much for their services, you would know it's a fraud/scam. If you do not know that, than you do not know bussiness at all.

There are really no has beens if people keep their ties. I once knew a guy that had left music alone almost completely but when he was doing it he had a name. When people saw him around they would shake his hand and greet him like an old friend. He heard some music me and 4 friends made and with a few phone calls... he had a producer at his studio that was just coming off of a platinum selling record. He wanted the producer to hear our music and we made two songs with him, then we did a sold out show that the guy that had almost completely left the music biz put together by asking for a few favors from people that were still into music events.
... then 4 of my friends refused to sign a contract with him because bigger names became interested in signing them. They did sign a deal but they fell apart during the album making process. One guy partied too hard and always showed up late and couldn't sing his parts - they kicked him out. The next guy couldn't handle the NY women and had all kinds of relationship problems and quit the group. The last two made a run for it before one of them - who was already from NY - decided that the music biz wasn't for him... leaving one guy that eventually turned into a crackhead along with his wife.
... they could sing better than Jodeci imo.
The guy that pulled the strings had been out of music for about 5 years and pretty much just saw people around the town that he used to run with. He used to manage the group that became SNAP (I think that's their name)... same thing, once they got noticed they went with people that had more connections.
