I still like my $200 keyboard you can upload VSTi's to idea. No DAW, no sliders, no (big) computer screen, maybe not even any native sounds. Just a decent keyboard with maybe 16 or 32 gigs of SDRAM, a simple EPROM based OS to load up your VSTi's with, a decent 1/4 out, and a USB port with some downloadable software for your PC so you can do more involved editing of your setup on your PC.

Build THAT for us, Music Computing. THEN you will have my money.

A dock? A 250" touchscreen? PASS...

Just got an email from them it works with both pc's and mac's can't wait until the 20th

laptop keyboard production station docks wonder what they do or look like, these have me interested.

this would be cool, something like that v-machine box but as a keyboard, not sure if they'd do it for 200 but if they kept it in the range of a midi controller like the axiom pro or novation joints it could be dope, or like some of the lower end keyboards from roland, yamaha and korg...around 500 or so, I could see folks using something like that for sure. Would be interesting for sure.

Dude...the RAM alone is worth more than $200.

^ yeah lol, that's why I'm saying maybe something like that v-machine, which would be in the price of a high end midi controller or the lower end keyboards, 450-700 or so at least lol.

it would be cool, but with no way to record them internally, I dunno, I like the idea of being able to actually record what you play in the unit and not just playback, but I can see the use of a playback only device as well.

If it interfaced with your regular daw in a clean way it could be pretty cool.

But like you said, the ram alone would make it more than 200

I gotta remember, most of the folks even in this thread have never paid for a piece of music making software or hardware EVER. They are still running on a cracked version of a $99 program, so even with the price points that Music Computing is gonna bring, they are still gonna balk.

when you said sdram I assumed you mean like actual ram, not an sdcard, that would change the price for sure, I still think for something to do what you're saying it would be between 400 and 700 probably.

Not sure how using an sd card as HD storage AND streaming ram would work, I'm sure someone could do it though. Be dope if you could just pop in a new card and have a different "workstation" instantly.

Yeah, my bad, typed the wrong thing. Not sure about using sdram for your real ram, either. But then, why in the world would you need 32GBs of real ram? I'm sure 2GBs would be plenty. Remember, I'm not talking about a worksatation here. Just an instrument for live performance. Marketed to keyboard players, not producers/beatsmiths.

see I don't like the 2gb limits lol...that's nothing for a bass patch in Trillian :)

I think something like the vmachine in keyboard form would definitely be around 500 to 600 or more, just based on the tech it would take to do it

Now that's just a low blow:carnageFP:.
