come on he dont gotta be a gangsta but he gotta ****in man up lol

theres plenty of male rappers who dont rap about Gangsta/hard shit that arent soft

from Big Krit, to Dom Kennedy, Pac Div.. its all about how you say what you say.

drake the only nigga that starts singing mid sentence, its just soft.. its very "i miss you" type emo rap.. its nothing wrong with that for him.. but u hear a record like Over.. then hear a record like Karaoke before it.. its just so night and day, the cohesiveness isnt there to me lol

and to people talking about listening to different genres of music.. fukkkk outta here wit that bullshit.. aint nothing difference about this.. its ****ing rapping/singing over hold music

your right that's BS!

I'm not sure why Bobby Ray keeps getting mentioned as far as I'm concerned hes not even a factor in the game, with five weeks under the belt hes sold 190,000. maybe I'm just a Hater going down for the count

on a Drizzy Drake Rogers note, the boy is gonna go gold DEFINETLY. girls want to rape his ****
Platinum ? possibility. I'm predicting gold within the first week

BOB has 2 singles in the top 5 on billboard right now, one of which was a #1 record & the other which is at #2 & will quite possibly be his 2nd #1 single from the same album. U do the math???

i think that track called "you know, you know" prod. by kanye shouldve been on the album.. its hotter than any track on there.

its wack to me

if you're into whiney emo rap.. a la kid cudi, B.O.B. and such you might like it.

1 minute its " i hate my life, life is so hard blah blah blah"
next track its "im fukin your b*tch, and poppin bottles in the club"
the next track is "im so deep, even tho people think im shallow"
then "money money your b*tch suck my dick cause im wheelchair jimmy"

if you like niggas who whine.. this album is for you..
thats pretty much it. I dont really like Drake he does have soem decent beats on the album though. Glad I didnt buy it because I did consider it.

I already did the math, actually Nielsen did and it came up to...190,000.

and I AM NOT taking nothing away from Bobby Ray just that I don't think he is someone that pops up when you think of for a lack of a better word "emo rap" or people like Wiz Khalifa or Kid Cudi Drake, etc.

just my opinion.

Great album. A cool laid back album. I'd rather listen to rap like this instead of fake gangstas (who can't rap), tired boom bap, and dumb azz dance songs. What were u niggas expecting, really?

Fireworks: Good intro to the album but Alicia didn't need to be on it. I feel like she was thrown in last minute.

Karaoke: This song can go off with a more soulful and versatile singer. I can't see him pulling it off live. Not bad,

The Resistance: Reflective Drizzy... Love it

Over: Goes Hard due to the beat... Nice

Show Me A Good Time: Yeap!!!Perfectly Smooth

Up All Nite: Nicki could have did better. Like the hook.

Fancy: Filler

Shut It Down: That's something for the ladies...panty dropper

Unforgettable: Nice

Light It Up: Should went on the BP3

Miss Me: Hype Nice... I hope Maliaha not preggers

Cece: LOL yep .... I sing this to a chick

Find Your Love: Great

Thank ME Now: BP3 Beat for Drake ...lol. Nice break from all the singing hooks.

Not bad for what Drake is. This album is pretty much what I wouldhave hoped from him. I'm glad he sung some songs in a higher tone. Nigga also be Droning and Moaning (pause)
.... Each Beat had it's on life and the beats carry him a long way. His lirical content has not changed and it is predictable.
I thought he was true to himself. I think he saved the best for later. Oh well I'd buy it though

Do know how much $$$ is made off #1 singles?? Dude is touring the world right now performing. Trust me Atlantic is definitely happy. I wouldn't really put BOB in that emo lane though moreso hip-pop. Wiz definitely aint emo. Cudi & Drake are though & i'm fans of both.

It's 2010, and music is free. There's no real way to protect it.

I'm surprised it leaked this soon, but they had to get a head start on production, because this is gonna be one of the biggest sellers in a long time.

As far as music leaking, it's promotion. I'm gonna hand deliver the CD I'm working on to the Bootleg Man, so he can promote the hell out of it...

I'll make money off radio plays, show tickets, merch, licensing, etc.

damn good point

Where's Lupe Fiasco when you need him. The Cool OWNS this Drake CD.

girls gonna love this album.
I'd rather listen to some cocaine raps, but the production is great tho. i like these ambient joints more than trap beats.

Quoted For Truth. Can't wait to bang this in my car.

Man Drew's posts on here, plus his twitter posts=Hilarious!

I think that Drake has developed a style, which unfortunately means that he's gonna rap about the same topics, use a similar flow on songs. of course he's gonna have girl songs, thats his fanbase.

for people like me, we end up dissapointed cuz most the album is too predictable IMO. im not a big fan of his singing cuz even though he can carry a tune, every song and hook he sings on sounds the exact same to me.

with that said i can take maybe half of these tracks and rock with them.

I just thought about something. About a year or 2 ago, when I was doing beats that had thick, atmospheric pads and heavy drums, FP people told me that it was wack, and that i needed to be making TRAP BEETZ...

Now look. The most anticipated debut from a rapper in 10 YEARS is full of the beats that I was making 2 years ago.

#ImJustSayin...

Go with your gut people...strive to be ahead of the curve, and don't ever let someone tell you what you SHOULD be doing.

Of course.

Lupe>>>>>>Drake

50 Cent??? Jeezy??

Jeezy didn't have nowhere near the national and international buzz that Drake has.

And neither did 50. 50's buzz didn't come along until In Da Club dropped. Drake has been an international superstar for over a year...with NO ALBUM.

I'm waiting on Atlantic to drop Lupe's Lasers, because as far as I know he submitted that album in about 2 months ago.

Of course.

You cant compare lupe to drake though, that isnt fair. Lupe to J. Cole is a better comparison, and neiter Lupe or Jcole will ever have the ability to write a song like unthinkable for alicia keys.
