yeah tbh i don't see much point in them porting the 808 and 909 machines because they only used samples so they're basically like redrum. but the 303 part of rebirth was a synth with quite a bit of bite!!

---------- Post added at 06:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:36 AM ----------

also just read on the props forum that reason 5 will NOT require the ignition key.

Seeing Dr rex was updated I would be happy if all the. Originals get a update
New redrum update
Maybe a new synth that can load malstrom subtractor patches. With features of both in one.
A new nnxt w nn19 features and wav editing
And ssl mixer for the old one
Seq updates like audio lanes maybe not recording but audio import tracks

dr.octorex im going to get busy with that now i can load up a whole record and slice where i feel in recycle load up 8 different patches of slices and select between with ones i want to use. wowwww it about to go down adn i can reverse the slices just like the nnxt its going down.automation with this devices is whats going to make it crazy.

Of course you wouldn't even have to do that if you could slice within octorex, still kinda working out my anger issues with the fact they didn't add that.

Anyone have an idea why the hell they didn't at least include real time stretching? Im guessing it's because rex files can be used in other hosts and so they couldn't control that without worrying about breaking it?

The upgrades are great especially if you don't own Record.

If you are a Reason user, and you buy Record from now until Reason 5 is released, Reason 5 is a free update.

That's a good deal. I never bought Record, but Record/Reason 5 for $150, that's an update!!!!

Man, somebody said that the Props should have made Record the next Reason update. I'm glad they didn't. If you didn't already buy Record, you get a lot more bang for your buck now!!!!

No, instead they are throwing in all of Record too!!!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:
this is awesome i read what they said on the props site too if u have either reason or record and you buy either one you get a free upgrade. i have not bought record yet and this octorex is making me highly consider buying Record just for the upgrades to both. Ill buy it as a fathers day gift to myself lol

Of course they would'nt add that, coz that would kill ReCycle. Recycle is like a monopoly product for them. But wait, there's more coming. Also, CHECK THEIR WEBSITE, point your mouse o May 25, you'll see a picture in the box. And that actually has a meaning. :)

How do they know that for sure? If that's true propellerhead has totally surprised me, in a good way.

somebody from props confirmed it via the forums.

well time stretching deals with audio. the dr. rex player just plays back midi notes. when you slice in recycle each slice is represented by a midi note when you import it into dr. rex.

that is part of the appeal of the dr. rex player. it allows you to take a break or a sampled phrase and rearrange the MIDI notes as you so please.

In my heart I knew they wouldn't add it. Still though it's hard for me to justify launching recycle when I can just open in live, logic or basically any DAW and chop much more easily, at least when it comes to how I work.

But yes, there's more to come, and I'm still interested.

Well then build the functionality of being able to do both or allow the actual chopping of audio (and allow those chops to timestretch) in an updated nnxt type sampler. I'd be happy with either of those scenarios. Anyway they addressed dr.rex so that gives me hope they'll update their samplers too.

I have a feeling that we'll see even better new features as the week goes on. They are probably saving the best for last.

True that, when it comes to teasing, you always save the best for last.

I feel you man, even I, here loves Live for that. BUT! Now you, uhm, nah, nevermind, you'll still know it.:sing:

good because i love recycle. all i need is midi out and i'm sold i'm purchasing reason 5 and record 1.5 so it doesn't matter anyway i'll probably be beta testing as well. and i'll be at the next hosting the props have in ny. so for me i'm just a propellerhead junkie.
