Made my voice tags but wanted get an idea of what's most common.
Too often, it gets annoying, not often enough, you're more open for a jack.
Thanks!

I tag on every 8 bars or 16 sometimes I just don't want to be annoying

Lol thats enough to lay a verse, and to loop

I was thinking that also but I really can 't any way you can guarantee that you music won't be jacked and at the same time if you tagged it enough to where it was actually unloopable, it would probably be unbearable to hear to. I made to tags on a beat just to see and 16 bars seemed to be totally useless and 8 bars was a bit much so I did every 10 bars but again like you said, you can't make it foolproof without pissing off the potential beat buyer.
I don't know what the real answer is or if there even is one other than copyright your music and hope for the best but even then, I'm sure jacked beats are making plenty of bucks for the jackers without the producer ever knowing it because it rarely ever reaches that level where the producer ever hears it again.

I tag at the end of the loop, so that way they cannot jack your beat without some part of the tag being heard. if itz annoying to the artist then they should buy the lease haha but truthfully just keep it in there enough to protect your work while not taking away from the experience of listening to it

"....I tag at the end of the loop, while not taking away from the experience of listening to it[..."/QUOTE]
lol. That's the challenge. It makes sense to keep it from being looped. I guess the challenge is in the volume setting. Making it useless to use and useful to listen to and judge.

yea you do have to pick your sopts, (1/3 of the way through tha loop, 2/3, ect) dont make it too loud. its suppose to be like a watermark. And yes if it is still annoying then you should change it back and forth between another 1. It should be there enough to where the artists would want to lease or buy it to have those tags removed.

just work on it, dont make it harder than it is tho

Makes sense. Thanks

LOL normally i tag twice in the intro, then every 8 or 16 bars depending on the song structure.....i mean, if the intro is untagged and there are clean loops, the whole song can be taken & misused...

I noticed I don't hear many sound tags on songs on soundclick charts. Is there a reason for that?

I usually do it every 20-30 seconds, just make sure the tag isn't stupidly loud and it won't get that annoying

I'm thinking either that or every loopable point at very low volume would make sense.
It's probably very easy to loop 16 or even 8 bars if you wanted to.
I agree that volume is key. I've heard some tags so loud that even a potential buyer couldn't tell if they wanted it or not but at the same, you could still loop the beat because of the 8/16 bar spacing on the tags. I'll have to try both and see.
Thanks for your input.
