Soldier Boy lookin for inspiration with others music????

So I was surfin the net...
Came across Soldier Boys myspace page...
His top friend,,is a label he is launching(SODMG Ent.)...visited that page....

He has a youtube video,,,telln all artist who want a chance at getting on his new label, to send songs and more to his email, with links to your myspace, photos, and more....

Then he plays a demo for you to listen to of a demo, of an upcoming song they are producing...

I said, what the hell, Im bored, and sent him some tracks..blah blah...

I showed my wife..and she was laughing and this is what she is saying....

She believes that he is looking for inspiration/ideas, and that he will be getting ideas from all the tracks that are sent to him...That he will be taking a line from this song, and a line from that song,,jacking lyrics here and there, and song production ideas...
She also was betting me..."OK, then if this is for reals, and he is looking for artist, then we should start seeing some new artist on his label, and in the artist bio, somewhere, on how the artist came up, will mention how he sent songs to SODMG Ent..blah blah..."
And that if all of a sudden, Soldier Boy starts coming up with alot more songs, and if anyone is claiming that he is jacking ideas and lyrics,,,well, then you know they are probably telling the truth....

I mean lets face it...imitation breeds innovation...everyone has influences...so who is to say that he wont here some hit songs that are submitted...and get some ideas

Dont get me wrong, this thread is not to bash Soldier Boy...
I like his tracks.....and Im happy a playa made it...

This is just something my wife was going on about...after I had submitted some tracks....Oh, and I never got a return email or anything....So Im thinking of spamming their mailbox....LOL...naw just kidding....

Any comments?
Think any major artist have gotten ideas from the not so major people in the game?

She could be right, or she may not. You'll never know so all you can do is try, atleast he's a legit star and not a new producer signed to DJ Quik. I'm pretty sure he's wanting to get new artist, and if he hears something a long the way he probably will take it. He might not bite on purpose, that **** just happens after you listen to a zillion songs.
 
im glad you wrote this. i already feel like soldier boy took some lines from some of my tracks. this is becasue we're both on the soundclick charts, and he is LOWER THAN I AM on certain subgenres. I used to laugh cuz i was beating soldier boy but now I just heard a new track it sounded like he had listened to my ****. if you look at these charts ill tell u the position:

Im pretty sure he checked out my page cuz besides me and him the other songs are either beats, or the artist didnt put a picture of themself. I dont think he would click on that, you can see my pic on there hella clear. i know he seen that **** cuz i heard his new song:

he may be wanting to steal peoples **** but he is a ****ing millionaire why would he and if you got your **** copyrighted your protected always copyright your music

You can copyright all you want....But they could still use your ideas, and take some stuff from a line here or there.....

If something of mine got jacked, I would be furious, and definately call someone out...make a big deal out of it,,trust me....
Screw a mix tape, this a dis tape type stuff....videos and all....

Even though I have some copyright, and Songuard protection...like I said, its a hard thing to prove if they just take a punchline or something....

Like here is one I have in a song, that I aint ever heard anywhere...

And I can say that line, because I am really an Infantry soldier in the US Army, and been to combat in Iraq...so its no lie...

I could see that line attempted to be jacked....as well as others....

Im not saying Im so great, everyone wants my rhymes, just sayin, you know....

Malki, I noticed in one of your songs you talk about "Make this look easy" or somethin...
And I notice in this Soldier Boy video above,,,he says something like...
"You make this look easy, we make this look easier"

Did you make a dis song about him? Cause he also mentions someone making a dis song about him...though he could be referring to a lot of people.....

And it's funny how a soldier that's been to Iraq is gonna call himself GSpotSoldier and talk about spending the time it takes to make them videos calling someone out. No hate but you should be spending time with your family if you're in a situation like that not wasting time making videos.

And if it was a simple punchline i doubt he stole it. I mean there's only so many words you can put in a sentence that makes sense. Sooner or later someone is gonna say the same thing as you.

If it's happened a few times though and the lines are more or less the same then he or one of his ghost writers prolly stole them. In which case i suggest you diss him and make a big deal to get publicity because a lwayer won't work with people like that.

You are assuming you know my "situation"....
And whats wrong with a soldier calling himself GSpotSoldier...LOL...
You obviously dont understand that soldiers come from all walks of life....
From religious goody goodies, to people who used to walk on the wild side, to thugs that used to do crime, that turned their life around, to hillbillies that lived in the country all their life....All races, and religious backgrounds.
So your idea of what a soldier should be, and the image you have of what a life of a soldier is like, is skewed.
And whatever you think you know, maybe from media, or whatever your source, is probably exagerated...

I am no longer active duty. I am National Guard. Still carry the same job. 11Bravo infantry...I have also deployed as a National Guardsman.

I am not calling anyone out, or making dis videos, or anything like that....you obviously aren't following whats going on...or reading the thread fully....I was exaggerating on the terms that would warrant such an act from me...Its hard to prove that someone "Jacked" your line...unless its a full bar or two, word for word, of a complex rhyme, that you are for sure, no one would think of...

The whole purpose of this thread, is well, because this section is basically for anything else that is on your mind dealing with Rap/Hip Hop/R&B....."Music Talk"
And, I had the situation where I had submitted some tracks, after watching Soldier Boys video. And my wife was all trippn, saying he is just looking for inspiration, and probably jackn rhymes...you know, being negative..LOL....
And it got me to thinking.....

ANYWAY
As far as spending time with my family, plenty of time for that...do it all the time...I am married, have a 10 yr old daughter, and a little rat terrier puppy LOL....I like long walks on the beach, use your imagination...

He aint too young to know about Lex Luger. He's only 2 years younger than me & i used to be a wrestling fanatic & knew about Lex Luger, lol. The sad reality is, most of your fav. artists "borrow" from unsigned/underground artists all the time.
