i read muslims are not allowed to play or hear music. hiphop is especially haram....

Didn't know his hype mans full name was "Grand Verbalizer Funkin' Lesson Brother J"... Wow, I'd hate to be a bill collector calling his house...lol

danoc...i heard freeway talk about it before...i think he referred to a hadith...and not the quran...here's a post on another forum i found talking about it...there is another link to an essay about music and islam

Because they are not understanding that you can use music also as positive. Music is in our blood. First of all, if we get into anything in America, we can look at being a Lawyer, was founded by slave masters, banks, computers, etc. So if we thought everything and every job in America was from corrupt then we shouldn't have any job. There is positive Music and there is Negative music, just like the universal law there is gravity, weak force and strong force, positive and negative. Music is natural, especially in Africa, so if someone tries to dictate I would have to question them. Being I just do music, tell me how can it cause pain and the lyrics are not in it? LOL if I was a Mc I would talk about positive things only, and without profanity and disrespecting my sistas!

I'm not religious, but that's how I kinda feel on the concept of God.

Anyway, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the government controls the type of music ppl are allowed to make. It has to fall in line with what they deem acceptable. Otherwise you're censored and/or persecuted.

All the more "provocative" Persian music comes from outside of Iran, mostly Los Angeles (aka Little Persia) or Europe. There's over 1 million Persians in LA, or "Tehrangeles."

I'm glad this thread was started i have a few questions about this....

My mom is muslim now... she was a christian...It's kinda weird to me, maybe cause i don't understand. But there's this guy that claims to be GOD (Allah) and his name is Royall. They say heaven is in Kansas City (or something like that) and she talks with these people on a regular basis. They have big class convos over the phone.

They talk about the mother ship coming, things are going to get bad, and all kinds of ish.

Alot of stuff make me think "what kind of ish is my mom into".. and then i went to one of their meetings here in Arkansas, and i have to admit, these were some of the wisest people i've every met. I mean even the kids were smart as hell and talented. They have some school in Kansas and they do all kinds of things from cooking to building stuff.

She wants me to join but i'm not interested, alot of the stuff they say talk about and do makes me question them, but as i said they are some VERY smart people.

What gets me the most is this dude walking around here saying he's God/Allah, and he created himself, and i THINK he has more than 1 wife or some ish like that. It's just a bunch of crazy stuff.

well Hadith doesn't override the Qur'an, and a lot of hadith is contraditory and the Qur'an tells men "Are you going to believe The Qur'an with is the Authority of Allah or hadith by men?" Hadith means tales or story of something. The Hadith relates to Muhammad pbuh but I see a lot of contradiction and Allah said in the Qur'an if there is a dispute of something always come back to Qur'an." so Hadith does is precedent over the Qur'an. I will challenge anyone to that.

What if you contribute to the production of a song that disrespects women, like provide the beat... are you off the hook? or do you have to say "What's is the subject of the song?"

Is that like handing somebody a gun and telling him to shoot?

Mothership? Yep that sounds like the Nation of Islam, and on the real they are not living Islam, if a man calls himself Allah he is not a Muslim. Allah is the Creator of everything, how can a man create anything? Can a man create a fly? Men are trying to be Allah when they can't even be men! She is definitely on the wrong path, and that is crazy. There is no evidence of a space craft or anything coming like that. The United Nation of Islam is another splinter group from the Nation of Islam. If I were you you should tell your moms to speak to an orthodox Muslim.

Good question, as a producer you have the right to pull in or pull out. and Yes you can pull out and say I am not giving you the track because it's disrespecting our women. You do it in a nice way and show that person, if they don't want to listen then you say I can't contribute to that. But on the flip side if you sell someone a beat and you don't know what they are going to say, and you have the money and the contract has been signed there is nothing you can do. It's all about intentions also, you made a beat how is that negative? So the person who say the negative words are putting the negative frequencies out to the universe over the track and it has nothing to do with you. Feel me?

Yeah but it's good that people ask questions especially about Islam, because people just don't know about it. We are so use to christianity something new scares us some time. I rep Islam, and the correct and common sense Islam not that dictatorship Islam, the Qur'an says "There is no compulsion in Islam". So if I see a so called Muslim man trying to force Islam on a person I will correct him immediately with the Qur'an because it's the highest authority. If he give me back talk then I know he isn't really Muslim. People have the right to chose for themselves what they want whether it's wrong or right, if it's wrong as long as they don't involve you in it, it should stand where you can't force them. There are a lot of myths surrounding Islam that is a bunch of nonsense and I am here to debate them on it.

They are called the BLACK SUN RIDERS. Professor X father was Sonny Carson great Activist in our community, he and H-Rap brown who is Now a Muslim.
 
Anytime Methodman who is a 5% and not a Muslim, can't get up because he is so smoked out to pay his TAXES SOMETHING IS WRONG! Now if a 5% thinks he is Allah why in the heck do he need to smoke a drug and why are you hear on earth? If I was Allah I wouldn't put myself here. It makes no sense!
